Hasn't he been injured since the beginning of August?
If he's just on his way back maybe that explains why he was "horrendous".

Was by all accounts horrendous last night with the reserves. Would like to hear from someone who actually watched the game as I'm just basing this on some people on twitter.
But in any case the reality is that he can't get on the CL bench in his third season here. He's simply not good enough.
He ran the ball out of play under no significant pressure on more than one occasion, I think three times; he hit a Bebe special cross at one point and worst of all - he looked poor in a really young United side. He looked fundamentally worse than our U18 lads.
Lol, that was my last trip to OT. He was hilarious!
The day was topped off by Hargreaves' surprise inclusion and inevitable withdrawal after only a few minutes...
I don't think he's ever played so poorly for the reserves as in that Wolves game, at least.
Hopefully someone told him to just give it a little tap-a-tap-a instead of trying to kill the ball's grandmother with his kicks.
Yep, and here he is beating 4 men against Sunderland the game before last. There's probably a youtube compilation out there that makes him look fairly good.
He obviously has skills, a loan at a EPL club would go a long way.
Dunno about that. He fumbles his way through some awful defending there.
You can say that againThe 22-year-old joined United in 2010 in a deal worth £7.4m but has failed to hold down a regular place at Old Trafford and was shipped out on loan to Besiktas after just one year at the club.
He'll be back.
He'll be back.
To fetch the ball after one of his shots goes astray?

He's been playing right wing for us in the past few weeks hasn't he?

One of best solo efforts ever?
"We feel the boy has got to get good experience at a better level than our reserve team," Ferguson told MUTV.
"He's gone to Rio Ave who are fifth in the Portuguese league at the moment - they have a young coach [Nuno] who has a very good reputation.
"Bebe has done quite well in the last two or three months. He got a cruciate knee injury when he was on loan in Turkey last season and that derailed him for a bit.
"Coming back from these injuries takes time but he's started to develop quite well. Hopefully his spell in Portugal, where he is from anyway, could help him."
