In all seriousness, where else does he have to go? If we miss out on him, what about Pellegrini - he would still be available.

Yep. And let's hope he doesn't lose his mind before we've won a few trophies. We need him, he will uplift the standard greatly and with the budget bring in some world class players and talents. When he starts falling out with people, bring in a long term manager who we trust to build us and maintain at a high level.
I somewhere hope/think that'll happen. He has had a year to evaluate his recent jobs and analyse where it went wrong, from various reports it seems he'd really like to manage Man United, he has a good relationship with SAF, and he knows what this club is about. I somewhere trust him to cut down a bit the silly things he's done at his previous clubs, but Mourinho is still Mourinho.Yep. And let's hope he doesn't lose his mind before we've won a few trophies.
I do like Pellegrini, but unless he turns City's season around then he's arguably failed there. Good manager, but probably not a top one, which is what we need to be aiming for.

He seems to think he has a good relationship with SAF - I don't SAF really likes him. SAF will flatter him as long as he's not our manager, but if he does get the job - watch SAF go cold on him.I somewhere hope/think that'll happen. Possibly, but why? SAF seems to have shown genuine support to Moyes and both LVG, what would be different to Mourinho. He seems to think he has a good relationship with SAF - I don't SAF really likes him. In any case, I don't even care - get the bastard in.
Sir Bob let the cat out of the bag a few years back in an interview - it was basically that SAF respected what Mourinho had achieved but didn't particularly like him....Possibly, but why? SAF seems to have shown genuine support to Moyes and both LVG, what would be different to Mourinho.

My personal feeling is that this is the case - of course I could be wrong but we'll see...
ThisHow long do we have to wait? Honestly get the man in already. Let him get used to our club and then sort out our squad in the summer. We need a clear out.
Probably thinking "fk this, sorting this mess out is too big of a job."

Cooo-eeeeeeee. Over here. Ed! Ed! ED! Chase me chase me chase me.He's due to meet with Inter officials according to his stalker Duncan Castles.
The cheap ass owners are waiting until it's mathematically certain we go don't get 4th - that way they can sack him and Giggs and their entourage without paying compensation. They did it with Moyes. They'll do the same with LVG.
If that turns out being the case then it just confirms that the club is run by a bunch of moronic, incompetent assholes. The cheap ass owners are waiting until it's mathematically certain we go don't get 4th - that way they can sack him and Giggs and their entourage without paying compensation. They did it with Moyes. They'll do the same with LVG.

The cost of falling further down the league more than outweighs the financial benefit of not paying him off.The cheap ass owners are waiting until it's mathematically certain we go don't get 4th - that way they can sack him and Giggs and their entourage without paying compensation. Imagine the scenes if he goes back to Inter because we've decided to dither so long with van Gaal, and we ultimately get stuck with Giggs.
I'm losing track of where I'm saying this stuff, so apologies if I'm repeating myself, but Rory Smith on the Game podcast said the more noise from Jose's camp the more he believes Mourinho is worried about not getting the job. I think in the next week or two he'll put a proper push on to bring things to a head.Yeah, I suspect he's(Jose) worried that they'll(we) end up hiring someone else.
He has his negatives but at this point we badly badly need him.

Wouldn't be great if we end with Giggs in the same season that Pel, Mourinho, Klopp and Ancelotti changed clubs?
Don't even joke about it. Fecking scares me that scenario.Wouldn't be great if we end with Giggs in the same season that Pel, Mourinho, Klopp and Ancelotti changed clubs?
And then Sir Alex a year after Giggs relegates us will say that Giggs was only our sixth choice.
