I'd love to see a real "battle", when we play MCFC and especially Arsenal.
I want pizza to be thrown. I want on pitch heated arguments. I want arguments in the tunnel. Managers calling each other names, before the game.
Fergie vs Wenger. Arsenal vs MUFC. Those games were like going to war and it created heaps of excitement.
Not to mention the Chelsea matches would have some atmosphere as well..

Wasn't he the first to reveal some of the deals from the summer? I seem to remember him talking up Ayew to Swansea and some other (low profile) transfers before anyone else.

I believe we are only waiting for this season to end and that Mourinho is taking over in the summer, I would be really shocked if it dosent happen to be fair, LVG has two eyes on retirement and the club are now well aware that aquiring top players is near impossible with LVG at the helm considering he will only be there for one more year, his tenure has failed regardless if he achieves top 4 this season and the club was unwilling to do any real business in January and would not put any more big money behind a man retiring in 12 months, LVG will be sacked this summer I have no doubt about it IMO

It's not so much the attack that impressed, it was that defense, when they scored once it was over. They reminded me of the 2007/08 United team, they were not has good as that 2008 team, but damn were they a machine to be reconed with

Every sign including Di Marzio has said it's a done deal so don't expect any news until the end of the season.
I've said it before but it'd be nice for him to be here now to assess the squad.
Similar to what Klopp is doing at Liverpool, results seem to be irrelevant for them, this season is purely for klopp to identify problems then rectify them in the summer. If Jose doesn't come till summertime we could end up not having time to sort any issues.
In a perfect world Mourinho should've been here since December by now he'd know exactly what he wants
Klopp was appointed way too early for it to be a write off season for assessing the squad, they brought him in to rescue their season which to an extent he has (being in the final of the league cup).

Mourinho has already said he's staying in England. Who else is he going to manage? Newcastle? LVG has been a disaster and is definitely gone at the end of the season barring some absolute miracle (top four and a trophy). Which isn't going to happen. There's way too much smoke here.

I was reading the Gundogan thread when it struck me that having a "manager-elect" as it were, could be quite beneficial. You have a high profile name, totally unaffiliated with the club (yet), who is free to speak with which ever players he feels like over the next couple of months.

I genuinely don't think this is happening. Our board haven't flinched at the job Van Gaal is doing and the last indication of anything from Woodward was that he believes Louis is a 'genius'. I think our board are living firmly in the past/their own world where they really believe that Mourinho is some sort of football cancer and that the way forward is the mythical 'United way' and Giggs or similar, once Van Gaal retires.
