We're going to feck it up again aren't we, absolute joke of a club if we let Mourinho go to someone else. Bored bored bored of how inept the club is.

We'll end up with another season of absolute mediocrity with that dinosaur at the helm.

What?

Why would he leave Spurs if they win the PL?

Because we're Manchester United and they are fecking Spurs? In the unlikely even that he wins the title with Spurs, the only way is down with them from there on. He'll not fluke another title with them whereas with us it's hard to any worse than LVG.

Not that I want or particularly rate Poch but if we want him we'll get him.

He has no place to go and the best managers are already booked. He's nailed on for the job imo. Bet your house on it.

He wants to stay in england, who else is he going to go join?

Mourinho in the Europa League? Feck me.

It wouldn't surprise me if he doesn't want to come here after realising how deep-rooted our issues are and missing out on the top 4.

I've got a gut feeling he'll go to Juve with their manager heading to Chelsea.

God knows who we'll end up with.

We've got a similar scenario to Moyesy here were we're waiting to be completely out of the top 4 race so we can activate the clause to allow LVG leave on free. The club is skint, always was and always will. That's why I always criticized it on that

If he does not want to come to United because we may miss put on the top four. Then bang goes that theory that some hold that United is his dream job.

really, only God? I will give you a hint, he is a United legend and was part of two unsuccessfull coaching teams at United.

It wouldn't be a fluke and next season the English sides are all getting a huge increase in TV money and he'll have the chance to take Spurs into the Champions League with a potentially much stronger squad if they invest. There's no gurantee he'd want to leave.

Of course it would be. No way all the top sides will be as bad two seasons in a row.

How difficult can it be to ask him how much he wants and give it to him. All these managerial gambles have to come to end if we're planning on not being pool pt 2

They are saying that Jose won't come if we don't get top 4. If we got top 4 not sure the job would be available anyway. Surely he realises that for the job to come up LvG has to fail.

That would be rich coming from a man who needs to rebuild his reputation as much as we do. He is not in a place to be making such demands, it would just be a convenient excuse. If aren't getting him then it means Chelsea have locked Allegri and Juventus have sounded him out. All of this wouldn't be happening if Woodward had not been such a weak, sick feck who couldn't bring himself into acting swiftly when the season was still salvageable.

If we got top four, we'd keep LvG probably. So basically, we can't win.

No. He went be here next season.
Interestingly, Spurs and United will probably be the favorites to win the Europa league. If Spurs finish in the top 4 and win the europa league, will that mean that the team finishing 5th goes into the Champions league?
Not sure what the rules are about this.

No wildcards for teams outside top 4. Only way the cups can affect top 4 is if we win EL and Chelsea win CL, then 4th places misses on CL(the maximum number of CL teams from teh same country is 5).

I'm pretty sure that isn't how it would work.

All of you getting in a tizzle over rumours of an absolute cnut not joining your own club are an embarrassment to the sport.

Christ, it takes a Dipper to put us so called United fans in perspective. Well done Bob for getting it right on the button.

Anybody, anybody at all besides Mourinho would suffice.

I'm sure you can ascertain the real reason why Liverpool fans are scared of Jose going to mufc. They were here at the end of moyes tenure screaming for us to "give him more time" as well.

This. When my city mate saw the bbc article of Jose he was gutted. No one wants this except United fans.

What's if Mourinho and the club agreed to release the story through Mendes/Castles to not hurt LVG by the speculation that he has signed and to also keep his friendship intact.

Maybe. However LvG knows how cut throat football can be. He must know his time is up and he didn't object to us sounding him out about the job at United. If Jose being announced as Uniteds manager is going to wreck their friendship then he isn't much of a friend.

I think all 6 qualify actually

No, it's a maximum of 5 teams from the same league. It used to be 4 before they awarded a CL place for the EL winner, remember when Chelsea won and Spurs dropped out of CL even if they finished 4th.

Scared of what?

We were asking for Chelsea to give more time to Mourinho

If we win the Europa League 4th place doesn't miss out I'm sure...all Athletico, Sevilla and Valencia were in the Champions League this year.

What level of friendship are we actually talking about here? Loads of managers shake hands warmly and create the public illusion that they are pally but you know in private they stab lookalike voodoo dolls. I mean how many adult males can Sam Allardyce actuall count on as friends? I would say the job of Manchester United manager is, in any case, deeper in extent than any so called friendship. And don't forget, at the end of the day, friends are shit.

The chances of Jose joining decreses day by day. I do not understand why would he take over a team who is not in CL? He said it 3 seasons back that managing in Europa is not his forte.

Nope.

And neither Spurs nor United are favorites to win it. I would say that both Dortmund and Napoli have more chances to win it than Spurs/United.
