Would you be happy to see Jose Mourinho become next United manager?

Mourinho has other offers, but significantly he's not making a decision on them yet. He's waiting for Utd. The decision hasn't been made yet.
What are you talking about? How would you know what he's rejected

I've never seen anyone quite as negative about this as you are.

Better to be negative in case it doesn't happen than a hell of a lot of folks here who will go into rapid decline ;-) and if he does come then great but until either he or United say its official I am taking all these rumours as nothing else than hot air. Plus being honest I dont trust the Glazers or the board all that they are interested in is the money and as long as it keeps rolling in then why worry about the football part.

A decision will have been made. The outcome of that will not be known until the season is over.

Exactly. The pretence that our board members are completely making things up as we go along is relentless doom-mongering, attention-seeking horseshit, if we're really frank.

That's an easy cop out. Glazer wants money but they arent stupid.

Bringing in mourinho means winning more means more prestige means morning money.

They might not love united but they arent going to consciously want to avoid winning more as a club.

Why a cop out at this moment in time no one apart from a select few have an idea whats happening and certainly not any of us here or journalists, don´t get me wrong I want Mourinho because he has a point to prove now after his Chelsea debacle and I believe the him and United will be a good fit, but it doesn't alter the fact that until it is official I will not be believing the ITK´s or Journalists.

I meant the part where glazer wants it cheap by keeping lvg.

Heck lvg is an expensive flop. At least hose works with what he has most of the time

Well, you're right about that. Our only hope is that doing what's right football wise also happens to be profitable as per their assessment.

Hiring Mourinho probably does fit that bill, though. There's a story there to be sold (to both sponsors and fans) which is easily as marketable as the alternative (at least in the short-ish term, and long-term we can always go back to peddling the "United Way" story, that's an angle which can be revived at any point).

Oh, and he usually wins stuff. Which is marketable per definition.

He shared it with me buddy.

Finally some real ITK information. Ta.

If our boards sticks with LVG then why the feck did they sack Moyes? It just doesn't add up.

The only explanation is that the club is hell bent on making Giggs boss in 2017 and they think this summer is too soon for him.

Things are certainly going to get a helluva lot worse over the next 3-4 years before they get better if this scenario pans out.

The thread that will not die is dealt a death blow.
Are the club seriously that deluded to use LVG in the season ticket renewal letter, well they must be because they have! If they are that far out of touch with the fans, then genuinely I am extremely concerned that this fraud is going to be in charge next season.

We need a whole new board.

That's the hilarious part... as asinine as it is to keep LVG, to actually use him prominently in season ticket renewal advertising is the very definition of trolling. You couldn't put a more despised person on the material.

It's getting to the point where I just think they are a bit thick.

Or they're just unbelievably arrogant. Continue with VG then Giggs? Bloody hell the club is insane if this happens.
Meh, no fancy advertising will get my money out of my pocket. Only way to make a point to the suits if they don't make a change.

We're probably going to have to borrow the Arsenal fans' 'posters' and change the wording to 'Woodward Out'

Of course the decision has been made. The media have to stir things up a bit because they know there's no announcement going to be made until after the Cup Final, so they've got 3 weeks to wind up the United fans
English football media know nothing, they claim reports and interviews from continental journalists as their own exclusive. Most of them are just as dumb as some of the people they report on. Experts paraded in the sports section talking garbage like Keown and his statement on Andros Townsend. Football media is in a sorry state at the moment. They will take multiple sides of a story and often contradict themselves on the same page. Idiots, don't believe anything from a red top and double triple check everything else.

I'm surprised that every manager in world football isn't lining up to sign for us. I mean where else do you get to spend hundreds of millions of pounds on players, massively under achieve and play the most mind numbingly boring football and remain absolutely bulletproof to the sack?
The problem is this is all new for the club. Having a manager for over 25 years is extremely rare and when a change has to be made with out that manager having a final say our board room is like a box of pink shivering baby mice. This is a crash course for us at the moment, especially with some one as green as Ed in football matters. That is why we are hearing that Mourinho is looking in to bringing in a trusted DoF and take the desicion away from the board which is a good thing, keep those porridge eaters away from the football side of the club.

Supporting United must be very depressing for you, or just life in general.

No it isn´t depressing supporting United and my life is doing just fine as well thank you, we know bugger all of whats happening every tom, dick and harry says something different and you in your previous post before this basically put the whole problem in a nutshell after 25 years of Ferguson they haven't got a clue it appears what they are doing. I want Mourinho but I am not jumping onto the bandwagon that it is all signed and sealed until its official that way if they do, do the unthinkable I wont get depressed.

Has LVG given his speech at the awards yet? If not then lets hope he is having his glass liberally refilled ahead of being given the microphone, so we get something to analyse in here tonight :D

Exactly. Don't give the parasites that run the club your hard-earned money. They don't deserve our support.

I'll always support United but if it's LVG and then Giggs, I reckon football might take a backseat for a while. Which will probably come as a relief to anyone who's read my posts on the Caf :)

The owners never knew what they were doing though, did they? They bought United to bleed it dry, and had no idea about football. As soon as Ferguson retired, the tide went out and, of course, they were swimming naked.

First they appoint a guy who's never won anything in his entire career and has the charisma of a woodlouse. Then they appoint a guy 20 years past his sell-by date, and stick with him. After apparently expressing reservations about Mourinho's behaviour, they're going to end up giving the job to a guy who's been shagging his brother's wife for a decade - all because they can flog all manner of cheap tat with the 'Class of 92' label on it.

Personally I think the owners believe we'll just become another New York Yankees. If we stop winning, it doesn't matter because the brand is so strong. But football is a global sport and people will quickly stop buying your crass merchandise and over-priced tickets if you stop winning.

Oh I'll never stop supporting or loving United - just won't be spending any money whilst they make stupid decisions, otherwise they will continue to treat us with contempt - the same way the Arsenal board treat their fans. Why do you think their fans are still waiting to win the Premier League for years and years? The club won't do anything because no matter what, the supporters keep giving them their money, so why should they care?

We gonna be in the same situation as Arse fans if we don't make a stand. I'll be sending a little email to their info line or whatever it is, just calmly explaining myself. Don't care if I'm the only fan who keeps a hold of my money, and it doesn't make a difference. I'm just not having that kind of nonsense behaviour.

You're not the only one mate. By the sounds of it, there are thousands who feel the same way.

This is what I was saying. The club only see that fans are happy, cheering and accepting of the current team's position and manager. They clearly feel that we want to see him stay, hence using him to 'sell' the season tickets. He's staying and the sooner we accept this, the sooner we can start dealing with it.

Few barren years and some of you guys are giving up on United?

Meh.....

Certainly won't be going to any matches next season if LVG is still around.

If Woodward sticks with this ridiculous plan he deserves an empty stadium followed shortly by no job.
