Nice. I'm a lot like Skinner in appearance and personality too, so well done.

So, correct me if I'm wrong, but this is basically the Oier Dadebat/JohnnyKills situation:

The Caf: Oier Fano Dadebat! Sends YOU a direct message! Alledging that Mourinho doesn't want the job! And it's ENTIRELY in Spanish?

JohnnyKills: Yes.

The Caf: May I see it?

JohnnyKills: No.

We aren't in the CL though and West Ham look more likely to get there than us. Two out of three seasons is unthinkable for this club.

Which will force the club to spend big this summer, or at least try to, to avoid losing Adidas money.

Woodward has clearly been given a blank check, or he wouldn't have wasted so much time in the last few seasons chasing after Bale, Muller and Neymar.

I can just us spending loads on 2nd raters and kids, while City and others disappear over the horizon. If Jose come there is hope, if not then we have absoutely no chance of challenging for anything. It will same old, same old.

We've spent relatively poorly under Woodward, but City have and always will be the worst big spenders imaginable. Txiki's success rate is about 1 good player for every 10 flops.

Did that guy really post a G.O.T spoiler in a football forum?!
I PVR'd the episode last night but am going to watch it today.

It he really did that, I'll have to avoid this thread until tomorrow....
Too late for me, I saw it by chance. :(

If van Gaal wins us the FA Cup I'm not sure I can see us having the balls to sack him for Jose, ...

So you think E.Woodward would not sack an underperforming employee, because it may hurt his feelings?
Mate, I work in management and trust me, when a member of management feels that an employee is grossly underperforming and is costing the organisation millions, the feelings of that employee are not spared. Sackings can get nasty, but when they have to be done, they are done.

This!

After more the 25 years I management I support this 100%. Over the years I have met hundreds of CEO's, self made businessmen and successful entrepreneurs. Common for almost all of them is that they often are ruthless when it comes to business decisions and money. The guys who hesitate often miss the big party.

A guy like Woodward knows that his reputation is on the line if United continue to underperform. You're only as successful as your last annual report. I'm pretty sure both the Glazers and Woodie knows that to keep the United brand strong we need success both on and of the pitch. Right now our manager don't deliver. You don't need to be a genius to figure out that this can't continue to long. My take on this is that Woody probably have a back up plan in case we finish outside top 4. Winning the FA cup is a nice bonus but it's the results in the PL that counts if Van Gaal wants to stay another season.

JohnnyKills is making Steamed Hams. And he calls them that in spite of the fact that they're obviously grilled.
Alright everyone, sorry for trying to add value to this discussion by relaying what an actual journo has told me, based on one of his actual interviews.

In future I'll stick to the endless, pointless back-and-forth about Mourinho's track record with young players. That seems the natural level for this forum.

And with that, I will flounce off into the night.

Relax, man. It was a joke: See above. It's a reference to the Simpsons. I don't care about the journo business, I'm sure you posted that in good faith.

So yay or nay on this never ending saga ? Seems like even the daily tripe that is the mirror and the sun haven't a clue...

The only thing that matters is that some random red cafe poster from Norway knows the real truth

No decision has been made yet. The Mourinho camp is beginning to get edgy.

Of course the decision has been made. The media have to stir things up a bit because they know there's no announcement going to be made until after the Cup Final, so they've got 3 weeks to wind up the United fans

Nah I don't think the board makes these decisions on the bases of one or two games. If last day City concede a penalty against Swansea at the end and draw/lose which means United get 4th that won't mean LVG stays.

He's gone regardless of what happens now.

I'm surprised that every manager in world football isn't lining up to sign for us. I mean where else do you get to spend hundreds of millions of pounds on players, massively under achieve and play the most mind numbingly boring football and remain absolutely bulletproof to the sack?

Maybe the board told LvG that he stays another year if he wins the FA and finishes 4th or better. I personally hate that idea but I do think it's fair.

Logically it's happening if it's not already happened.

The club will release statement that they're behind van gaal if it doesn't. If they want to keep him what good does all the unrebuffed speculation does?

Or they probably want to play it safe incase lvg really won the fa cup?

... :(

I hope the End of the Season awards tonigh is a good indicator of what the future holds though.

Plus there are literally no more news on rumors about clubs approaching jose or any other manager linked with us.

Surely something is cooked?

A manager of jose calibre will not have a shortage of clubs regardless of whether he will consider it or not.

England should do well to sack hodgson now and give him the job even for a few months

Mourinho has other offers, but significantly he's not making a decision on them yet. He's waiting for Utd. The decision hasn't been made yet.

I hate this position we are in, damned if we do make it to the Champions League and probably damned if we don't. We have thrown money at the problem but not bought a ladder to climb out the hole we dug ourselves into. :nervous:
