BBC Impartiality

It's great to see so much overwhelming unity on the topic that the BBC are desperately back tracking. Their bias reporting on the subject all week has given the illusion that more people oppose Linekar then really do.

This was evident from the beginning because a regular BBC tactic to silence viewers is to release controversial articles which look bad on the tories with no HYS comments section. Given there was none on any Linekar articles its as though they already knew their reporting was impartial.

The lack of currently serving tory mps speaking out against it won't help them either. They've even went the other direction writing a letter to BBC requesting an apology and a resignation in a further own goal.

How the tories and more so the BBC come back from this god knows. They've really shot themselves in the foot and it's bloody marvelous to watch it unravel.

Big shout out to the main man JC too who was vocal and straight in to praise Linekar and Wright and Co. Starmer did his usual on the fench dance this week before deciding his side as he's spineless. But that's another discussion in itself.

There's also adverts all over our radio stations right now about "turning down your heating and hot water can save you money!" from the government no less.

It's continually blaming the poor for being poor.
They should just get better paying jobs.

Oh and this Government also put in place a two child limit for tax credits.

More than two kids, no extra money.

So if one parent dies or is on long term sick leave and cannot work, they will only get money to cover two kids.

Magnanimously the Government did say if you have two kids, and then are raped, you can get money for a third child, but only if you can prove the child was born as a result of the rape.

That's a lovely touch I think. Very thoughtful.

And that's only chapter 1.

- Dominic Cummings Scandal
- Pincher by name Pincher by nature
- Partygate
- Patel guilty of bullying
- Raab under investigation for bullying
- The tax dodging chancellor
- The tax dodging non dom wife
- The PM who keeps promising to release his taxes but hasn't yet done so or confirmed if he will release his USA taxes.
- The school meals for kids scandal.
- The Hancock texts
- The dodgy undocumented meetings with Russians
- The election of Russians to the lords
- The Russian donations
- Cameron and his greensil lobbying
- 30p Lee and his fake election videos with mates
- Had a MP found guilty of being a pedo that Boris refused to criticise

And I could probably add another 3 or 4 chapters on.

It's an absolute disgrace.

It's like they are begging people to riot. They should try an announce a super league next.

In a brilliant piece of timing, I've literally just had a leaflet through my door 20mins ago about an "ibis style hotel" near us that was built and only used to house illegal immigrants (apparently). The kicker is there's an email and address for our local MP to send and complain...My local MP is a Tory piece of shit. These people have no brains.

It's open season well and truly.

Edit: It's from some group called Patriotic Alternative.

We have those adverts too sadly. Don't shower for more than 10 minutes, don't leave the fridge open as a makeshift substitute for airconditioning and blahblah.

Profligate piig pizza-eating country here and the only “wasteful” family I have met in my young adult life is a five kids couple actually living like a small army, an at-home mum working remotely and an overstressed dad… yet, with birth rates declining fast and right wing govs not wanting immigrates anymore since the late ‘00 recession, these are heroes-of-the-nation for sure?? Feck the dickensian tripe of dystopian countries.:rolleyes:

Yeah I gathered that they would be. Never had anything like that posted, now I guess it's going to be a more common thing I can look forward to.

Thinking on it, maybe that's why that MIC dude started talking about hotels and protests...

Since the 2019 election, this Government has:

- politicised the Electoral Commission
- politicised the BBC
- disenfranchised 5 million people
- given full civil and criminal immunity to covert police and intelligence service sources
- made it lawful to render someone stateless by stripping them of British citizenship
- made it lawful to remove someone's citizenship without telling them and if a Minister thinks they have committed "unacceptable behaviour"
- committed mass fraud during the pandemic
- wasted 37 billion on test and trace
- removed all legal routes for someone to claim asylum or refugee status
- promised that if someone arrives here illegally and is trafficked or made a slave the state will not help them
- blew up the economy with a budget announcement alone
- oversee a cost of living crisis and refuse to take the steps other European countries have with fuel bills
- tell people it is their fault for being poor
- tell hungry people to go eat turnips
- Brexit... my god Brexit...
And yet people keep fecking voting for them. I don’t get it, I really fecking don’t.

I'm not a huge social media user but one thing I've noticed recently is they seem to be using some strange algorthim when showing responses to posts.

A good example would be to check out some of Linekars tweets. The top 4 or 5 comments on one yesterday were all people opposing him like right said Fred with around 400 likes. Followed by a few in support with around 200. Then you scroll further and suddenly you find your Carol vodermans with 1500 likes and others.

Similarly just went onto Facebook to check out Jonathan Gullis page to see the comments. Again top 4 or 5 are people in support of him with 20 or so likes. Then as you scroll further down its all people opposing his views, the majority are.

If you were to just glance at the initial few replies though; and I'm sure both Facebook and twitter likely have the data for how long people view posts, how many comments they scroll through etc.. Well anyway if you only look at what I'll call the sponsored replies, a bit like in Google, then you get a completely different rhetoric to what the majority think.

I do.

Make people terrified of immigration, use the media to peddle the idea immigration is the cause of all the issues with jobs, traffic, the NHS, pensions etc. Promise to tackle that “problem” hard.

People are willing to ignore all the horrendous tory indiscretions, so long as they continue to tackle the real problem (immigrants).

For sure, it’s manipulation based on fear. I guess I thought that people were smarter than that these days but obviously not.

Not sure about FB as I barely even look at it, but Twitter has done that for ages I believe. I think twitter blue has made it worse though (people with verified checks can still pay for blue and get the extra boost I believe too).

I seen one the other day as the top response to Linekar and he had less than 50 followers but a blue tick.

Yep, that's why the sad cases pay for it now. And like I say, I believe legacy verified (like some of the Tory donors attacking him) can also pay that money to boost it, but when you click on the tick it will still say "legacy verified".

Another rhetoric which alot of right wingers are now pushing is that Linekar is a tax dodging millionaire.

From what I've read about it, it relates to IR35 and he is in the clear and will likely win his appeal in the same way both Lorraine Kelly and Kaye Adams did.

But once again its just the right wing hypocrisy. Serving chancellor found to have lied about tax avoidance while serving and also found to be guilty of it with a huge fine. And apparently this tax dodging is OK even though he was chancellor.

But Linekar being accused of something which I believe he will be found innocent of and he's suddenly this tax dodging millionaire Liberal leftie controlling the UK from Islington.

There are no winners in this though. Its just yet another British public service destroyed by the tory venom and it will take a long time to rebuild faith and trust now. Wasn't so long ago they wanted to scrap the BBC too... This has probably helped. And then we really will be left with Murdoch effectively controlling 80% of the media consumed in the country.

Worst of all though is that fecking Starmer is the opposition leader. So even when we get rid of the tories we will still have a centrist/centre right government unless this is some master plan by him to get elected. Given his terrible treatment of corbyn and those who have supported unions though, I really doubt it.

Does anyone have any faith in UK politics anymore? As each day passes I feel more and more inclined to seriously consider emigrating.

Any rich person leaning left is held to a much higher standard. If you're on the right you can do virtually anything as long as you own the libs

I'm pretty confident alot of bots are in use too across social media and news websites. Its not too difficult for someone it savy to be able to make one to influence up/down votes and post rhetoric.

It's worrying though because it's becoming increasingly harder to identify propoganda and media manipulation and for the wealthy elite this works to their benefit and plays into their hands.

it doesn't help that our constitutional system of government allows free rein to make any laws you want if you have a majority in the Commons.

It allowed Tony Blair to create 3500 new criminal offences and impose sweeping anti migrant laws, and it is allowing this Government to push the country in an authoritarian direction.

The Bill Gates scamdemic jibes made me laugh. Out of the top 10 billionaires during covid who doubled their accumulated wealth. Bill had the most modest increase of around 30% despite all the propoganda about how he was profiteering from vaccines. Of course Elon Musk doesn't get scrutinised though.

For sure, it’s manipulation based on fear. I guess I thought that people were smarter than that these days but obviously not.

Sadly not. I see it with my own parents, every single time they come over here to visit, they and their partners constantly bang on about the issues with “xxxx many coming over the channel each day”, “we can’t cope, the country can’t”. “Just look at the traffic in England now compared to here in Sweden, its obvious England can’t take in any more people, we just can’t ”. And don’t get me started as to how the problem with the benefits systems isn’t in fact all the trash British people I know that use the system, and feck me I alone know a tonne, it’s once again… asylum seekers bringing the entire system to it’s knees

They are utterly brainwashed into these idea by the media.
They have no asylum issues nearby, they have no asylum seekers taking their jobs, they holiday more than ever, have a car each, they aren’t on benefits themselves, oh and they hated Corbyn, because he was an “IRA sympathiser”.

Why don't we just build a massive dome over the country so we can control who comes in?

Personally I think Mr Prime Minister great leader of men is right. Far too many boats are crossing the channel. I think we should drain the sea. It is clearly the best option, and would permanently cut the UK off from Europe.
