Somewhere down the lane, a licky boom boom down
He'd would be a top top signing. Too good to be true really. Will never happen.
Not entirely right on your part here, Suedesi.I just read on the Welt Fussball that Bayern will commit both Lahm and Schweini to the club. Bayern would never let go of Schwein, or Lahm, or Mueller. Never, ever.
I heard form good authority it is actually Schweinstieger SAF was talking about.

I doubt. Di Maria never stayed in his home country.Di Maria wasn't it?

Bayern are currently trying to enter discussions with Schweinsteiger over a potential contract extension - because his deal runs out in 2012. Should he not extend, Bayern would be looking to cash in on him in the summer of 2011 as he can leave on a free after that.
There have been no dates set yet for possible discussions. Schweinsteiger himself said: ''I, one day, want to win the Champions League.''
Very important also on his part is the relationship to the fans - at the moment he is being celebrated, however, eleven months ago, he was booed after Bayern's catastrophic start to the Bundesliga season. Something, according to the papers, he has not yet forgotten.
It is no secret as well, that he wants to move aborad one day.
How the feck could it have been Schweinsteiger? He didnt leave a club in the summer...
Which is false information, Georgie.Transfer News: Chelsea are interested in signing Bastian Schweinsteiger as a free agent - News - MirrorFootball.co.uk
According to this article he can go for nothing in the summer.

Didnt he say something that he would leave Bayern because the fans boo'ed at him, apperantly they never forgave him the incident when he considered joining Juve a few years ago.
Fergie rarely exploits bosman-players though... Would be fecked up if Chelsea got him for nothing :/
Fergie said he wasn't sure they player wanted to leave his country, not that he signed for another club. The way it was phrased and what we all assumed was true was that we were in for Villa. We could have been wrong...
“We've looked at a few options,"
"We did consider David Villa but he was always going to Barcelona.”
"I just don't believe there is value out there at the moment. I'm very happy with the strength of our squad as it is."
‘I looked around and there was only one player I would have brought here. But that move was sealed off quite early by the club he went to.
"We will invest in signature players when the time is ready. This summer was not right for me. There was no value. There was one player we identified yes, but he didn't want to come to England. Some players don't want to leave their country but Manchester United is an attraction for players.
Would be an instant success...so no we won't sign him.

It sure would, it would be like Ballack all over again. Although, i regard Scwein to be a lot better than Ballack too.

Javier Hernandez
Ahaha I see what you gone and done there LOLZ!!
He also said 'the deal was a no-go by the club he went to', in a conference a while back and he was clearly referring that same player that 'didnt want to leave their country'. The bloke who said he 'has it on good authority' that the player is Schweinsteiger, is clearly talking bollocks.
The player is David Villa, obviously, and i'm going to clear this up:
Ferguson said on July 5th 2010.
Ferguson said on 14th September 2010 after David Villa joined Barcelona on 19th May 2010.
Ferguson said on 20th October 2010.
So now all this speculation about it being Ozil, Schweinsteigher or Di Maria can end as it was clearly David Villa, for crying out loud. However, what is so disappointing is that this means we were never in for Ozil.
I was really impressed with him at the WC. They way Germany could move the ball right along the touch-line under tight coverage was incredible. Basti was a big part of that.
Thats pretty high praise, maybe true over the last 18months but both in their prime Ballack pisses all over him imo...
We won't sign him, if he's available in the Summer he will go to Real Madrid or Chelsea because they can afford him, we cannot and besides I don't think we'll be in a market for an experienced and expensive midfielder anyway.
Ballack has never been a brilliant player, the main charactersitics that he possess are his drive, determination and a half decent long shot covered with him being the German captain for a long time raised his reputation a lot. He has never been all that, good player obviously.
