It's all about playin time with Bastian though Rover. He aint gettin it at Bayern & he'd want it at United, which he will imo, but you couldnt blame Bastian for havin doubts if we sign Morgan either..

as said, he can ask whether schneiderlin will come or not if this is his concern. so the sequence of signing won't be a matter for him

Any concern Schweinsteiger has about playing time for us can be immediately assuaged by showing him our injury track record over the last few years. Bet you he will then be worried about having to play all the games! :p
Or just show him how many games Young got last year - "ah OK, where do I sign?"

Think of the logic that's actually involved in that, as in a real life situation rather than as a tactic to snare a player on Football Manager.

So Schweinsteiger signs for us on the basis of being an important fixture in our first team....

....and shortly after we sign a rival for his position and go "oh sorry Bastian, we had to trick you in order to get you to sign, you'll actually be part of a midfield unit that will be rotated and I doubt you will get as many games as you thought".

That's my take on it Pex. We get the Schweinsteiger deal done & then get the Morgan deal done straight afterwards. No way i can see Schweinsteiger coming if we buy Morgan beforehand. It all seems pretty sneaky from our part.

Kudo's if that all works out though, or that both players are sweet with us signing them more importantly. Cant see Schweinsteiger being up for it though, unless we pull the wool over his eyes. He wants guarantee's for playing time or what's the point him uprooting his life from his boyhood club..

Schneiderlin is the priority not Bastian, so it should be the other way round man..

that's all about a question from a cafer the advantage of signing schweini first. i don't know what's that relevant to the claim you tried to make. btw this is your opinion and you can keep yours.

Fjörthoft forgot one aspect. Schweinsteiger did not sign or want to have any contract talks last season or until now. It is him who let the story open - not the club who wanted to talk with him about renewing the contract when Müller and Lahm did prior to the World Cup. And - if you ask some of the older reporters - Schweinsteiger has talked about going to the EPL somewhen even early in his career.

Good signing if we get Schneiderlin as well.

One thing to note though;
RVP = 6m
Schweinsteiger = 20m

Both are 31. We're getting rinsed here. What happened to the clubs being friendly? How come they got Alonso cheap but we're not getting a player (on the decline) with a year left on his contract cheap?

Nice! Guess we'll find out soon now, whether we're after Morgan as well. I doubt it, but that should become clear in the next few days.

What the fart?

Didn't expect that when I read today's updates.

Although, I'm very fearful Bild is just their equivalent of the Mirror/Sun, that lead with a "X will join Y"

and then article is full of less certain lingo like "set to make a bild", "considering a bid" etc

This is exactly like the Falcao signing to me. With a player of that quality it's hard not get excited, at the same time I'm not so sure he isn't past it at this point. Still, a gamble worth taking.

If this is true... I am going to dig up and humiliate every single pessimistic cnut in this thread who were bla-ing about how us muppets were stupid for believing.

And now for Ramos :drool::cool:

Who cares about the fecking price, it's roughly £13m for one of the very best midfielders in the world. The only way I'd not want this to happen is if Schneiderlin didn't join as a result. I really think we need the two of them.

Did I once read one of the caf's German posters saying Bild are a bit shit, whereas SportBild are quite reliable?

Euros son euros...

£14m, which sounds plenty, but would you prefer Bebe&Manucho for £14m, or Schweinsteiger?!!
