Is this the bit where we delude ourselves thinking he's making Bayern out to be the bad guys when he is transferred?

#He'sStaying

I guess Schweinsteiger is in the market. Bayern don't mind letting him go. I guess we can get him if he really want to.
Bastian is more of a luxury signing for me. I will want him only if he is the second CM we sign. This does not mean that he will not improve us. I just feel that in the CM department, a player like Morgan, suits us more. Plus he is at a better age.

We can offer him a new challenge and more money. This year he can be part of a new team and play regularly if fit. If he waits another year, i am not sure that he could have a better situation at a top club. If he really wants to play til 2018 at a high level, now is the best chance for him.

Bayern seem like they couldnt care less if he stays or goes, so i expect him to come to us if we go ahead and make a decent offer.

So after Matthias Sammers comments yesterday about Bastian we now have Pep saying the same thing. It seems they're laying groundwork for him to leave amicably.
Are you Sport Witness?

 I wish. I have just been following this one and was surprised at Sammers comments yesterday. Then saw this. 1+1=?

Something else that surprises me is that the British press has not latched onto this
They might well do. Guardiola only said that in the past few hours!

This one has a bit of weight to it but I don't imagine Schweinsteiger will ask to leave.

They're clearly colluding with PSG. Distracting us with a "chance" of getting Schweinsteiger while PSG are free to sign Schneiderlin.

PSG have veratti matuidi cabaye rabiot and play Luiz at DM most of the time anyway. If Schneiderlin has any sense he won't go there just because he is French

That's my concern too. Don't see Bastian actively pushing for the move. Unless he had a very close relationship with LvG. LvG might well be the key here. Get on the phone Louis!

Bayern have a much better set up and atmosphere than Real. I'm sure it'd be harder to lure Bastian away than it would Ramos!

Two club legends, but one treats their's with disrespect and the other treats their's like kings.

I think they're confirming that it's not now about him actively pushing or making transfer requests. It's more a case of, if the offer comes in they'll ask him if he wants to move.

Remember what we said when Thiago first was linked with Bayern? That midfield was packed with world-class talent yet he chose to go there.

there is supposed a meeting to talk about his decision when he finishes his holiday. has this done yet?

it's all about just the decision of schweini. a similar case like our danny boy

I hope this is not a case of Schweinsteiger v Schneiderlin and the reason why any deal which might have been on the table for the latter has now stalled. It cannot be price surely? Presumably United aren't going to quibble over +/- 5m. Maybe LvG prefers the German but surely the Schneiderlin is the better bet in the longer term. Maybe the shorter term as well !

Does PSG have any interest in buying Schneiderlin?

He was at Wimbledon yesterday but his Missus got knocked out so hopefully things should pick up now.

Nothing has been reported as of yet. It's just my inner muppet who is scared of missing out on Morgan.
Come on, you scared me out.I don't think he'll move to PSG,their interest is else were.I'm leaving this here as this Schwe's thread.

He doesn't. http://www.whoscored.com/Players/27586/

They play with a midfield 3 consisting of Pastore, Verratti and Matuidi. Cabaye almost doesn't play at all, so it makes sense for them to buy Schneiderlin.

They chose to play him at DM in big games vs barca and Chelsea. Cabaye doesn't play and he is the perfect example of why you would waste your career going there. I don't think he is better than veratti matuidi or pastore. So he would be mad to go there and be benched like cabaye ended up.

Remember what we said when Thiago first was linked with Bayern? That midfield was packed with world-class talent yet he chose to go there.

They had kroos schweini Martinez who could arguably be called class midfielders. Of these Martinez was a defensive mid. Lahm was played in midfield rarely before pep arrived. Luiz gustavo left. And obviously his decision was based on pep being their manager especially since moyes was the other choice

Luiz didn't play DM against Barcelona, but you are right about against Chelsea, only in the first leg though.

It would be mad, but he would be back in France. Could be a big factor. But hey, it's all speculation by us, there's no rumours about this in the media, so let's hope we sign him ASAP.

More like never. Those where the good old days, when Martinez dominated the center and Lahm was actually amazing, not just another body in midfield.
