Love Schweinstegier, fantastic player, and was over the moon when we bought him, but reality is that he was just another lazy signing by LvG.

Still think he could be handy to have about the place though, and not too sure who Jose expects to buy him.

Don’t think he’ll be involved today (not that it surprises anyone) based on the way he wrote the tweet.

http://www.bbc.com/sport/football/36975545 - A Slovenian member of Fifpro has claimed Mourinho deserves to serve a prison sentence for the situation regarding Schweinsteiger.

"In Slovenia, we would have indicted Mourinho and asked for the highest penalty - three years in prison."

:lol: feck me. What is the world coming to? I thought it was a joke when I saw the title. This Human Rights bollocks has been taken way too far by some people.

LVG would be serving time in a high security prison if such things were taken seriously.

Roll your eyes if you want. I remember clearly that I wasn't alone in thinking it - many posts after certain matches said the same thing. Then again, Rooney the actual captain was literally shite both technically and in terms of any organisation or inspiration for half the season so I'm not saying we had tons of leaders on the pitch in the first place.

I will. I love the caf body language experts. Fascinating stuff.

Unlike your non existent argument. Nothing in my opinion given requires body language expertise beyond using two working eyes but feel free to continue being pedantic.

Again, what I said was echoed by many others last season whether you disagree with it or not.

Sure mate. I'm sure you could totally tell just how inspiring he was by staring at the tv.

I support him staying and seeing out his contract, however his fitness all last season was poor and being a World cup winner doesn't mean he should be treated better than anyone else.

I think leaving him go makes sense, we made a decision keep carrick or bastian, mourinho and the club decided carrick was a safer choice, jose also knows he wont be playing both carrick and bastian at the same time with having rooney and zlaten in the team, its asking to be slaughtered on the pitch with that many 30 year old's on the pitch especially if carrick and bastian were played. Now if pogba is signed, where is bastian going to fit in? we have morgan, carrick, bastian and herrera in the CM, then there is fellaini, the balance of the team would not work having both carrick and bastian. So jose thought to save the club wages, and his injury record best to move him on. Its sad for bastian, but at the end of the day it does not work having both carrick and bastian in the same squad, limiting the teams mobility even more

Yes I never said otherwise.

He wasn't spectacular by any means, but there is a lot of truth in this

I'm thinking he will literally rotten in the U- 18 the way he's looking  What a joke he turned out to be. Those medals really lost their shine. Retire ffs.

Could we please leave him out of the lineup competition or move him over to the u- 18. I think he might make it as a sub there :lol::lol:

Apparently the player performance threads are now used as mega threads for discussion, even when the player hasn't kicked a ball yet.

Anyway, things change fast in football. I'd bide my time if I was Schweinsteiger. For all he knows, Mourinho might be sacked by this time next year and the new manager might want to keep him.

I was pleased when United signed Schweinsteiger but he's proved to be too injury prone. He was injury prone in his last two seasons at Bayern and that is why they got rid.
He does deserve to be treated with respect, though.
However,I don't see him as Joses type of player or personality.A seasons loan back to a team in the Bundesliga could be best for both him and United.

Unlikely.

I'm sure the club themselves will want to get rid given the financial outlay.

I think he will probably leave in January after realising Jose is serious about not playing him at all. So at least the players have 6 months of birthday well wishes to look foward to.

I wonder what he must be thinking watching Wayne Rooney play and start in this squad ahead of him.

The wrong man is on the outside looking in here.

along with Fellaini and even Mata gets a place on the bench. Hope he gets a look-in soon.

Pilip De Brun said on his periscope thing on Twitter that Schweinsteiger refused to be treated by United's medical staff last season. There are no medical records from his time in Germany for Mourinho to look at and the players hated how he was treated differently

Just reporting it. It's on his Twitter anyways

Saw that earlier. Not the first time we've heard it either. I think he alludes to the 'leak' from within the camp just after van Gaal went.

There's no way back for him anyway regardless. Mourinho's mind is made up it seems.

The leak was Rooney apparently, according to UWS. Was spotted having dinner with loads of Journos, in wings, few days before some stories about LvG, Bastian etc came out

But... that was just Wayne Rooney playing Machiavellian to withhold his own status (!)

Indeed. Another of the fanzines confirmed the same thing.

IF it is true, then good riddance. It was bad enough he spent half a season in the team and still barely looked match fit.

A shame, I was really pleased when we signed him.

Seems to be remaining quite professional in public, but kind of confirming that he’s training by himself at the time.

Would love the redemption story if BFS can somehow get back into the squad. Looking very unlikely now though.

So his "performances" are mainly social media performances these days. However, I think he is doing a professional job there. Always smiling. No bad word. Not even a hint about his situation. (Well, if we don't count the tweet of his brother.)

My guess is still USA or Serie A if he leaves.

Bayern had press conferences with Lewy and Müller prior to the Super Cup today. Müller was asked for him in the presser today. He was a little cryptical talking about the football business sometimes being very hard and more and more missing the romantics but told that Schweinsteiger is fine and that he will find a solution. But told that he is not his advisor...

--------

I do not think that money is the problem. He has an existing contract with United for the next 2 years and if United wants to offload him there will be an agreement. It is more about Schweinsteiger who will not end his career at a midtable EPL club or in China... If he does not find anything suitable in Europe in the next week it will be the MLS in January.

200k a week of course he is gonna be professional and it's not like he needs matches to get picked for Germany now that he has retired from international football.
