You don't even qualify to the Champions League group stage so I don't know what are you making fun of.
We don't? Okay Nostradamus.
You don't even qualify to the Champions League group stage so I don't know what are you making fun of.
Used to be a big fan of theirs, but now there aren't many clubs I despise more and I'm thoroughly enjoying their downfall. I just want to see more levers pulled.
You used to be a Barca fan, but since the club has become so despicable, you changed to … PSG?
Sure, they got screwed in Milan and I'm definitely not going to point out Dembele escaping a textbook red card while 2-1 down at the spotify given how the first leg's result affected that game

They may be able to if they're in breach of contract. They could have deals that depend on Barcelona reaching the latter stages of the CL, which is where advertisers want to be and where the big money is.I don't think you can just terminate sponsoring deals like that, sounds like bs to me.
That would be hilariously terrible management by Barca. So might be true after allThey may be able to if they're in breach of contract. They could have deals that depend on Barcelona reaching the latter stages of the CL, which is where advertisers want to be and where the big money is.
Bonus payments for certain success might be possible, doesn't sound unlikely to me. It would only be bad management if Barca relied on that. They won't be that stupid. That would be hilariously terrible management by Barca. So might be true after all
Yeah sure, bonus payments or penalties to sponsorship deals are perfectly normal. But allowing sponsors to pull funding over failed sporting achievements and having your budget rely on them to the point of financial collapse if not met would be stupidity only Barca in their hubris are possible ofBonus payments for certain success might be possible, doesn't sound unlikely to me. Oh well, of course they would?!

I haven't followed La Liga too much but I am astounded they have won 9 matches in La Liga. The team I saw in the CL and against Madrid in the league is not even top 6 PL level. They're only 3 points behind Real in La Liga, having won 9 games, drawing 1 and losing 1. Really poor CL campaign yet again but, though I'm not sure I watched even 1 of their games under Xavi, results wise they've improved since he came in. Had strong finish to last season as well if I remember correctly.

Yeah no. As beautiful as it would be, that's pretty wild and certainly not going to happen. On what basis would sponsors even be allowed to 'pull funding'?
I remember reading that part of their budget problems was that they kept on making budgets were they were in the quarters of the CL as a minimum. I assume that Laporta changed that, but then again, maybe not.Depends if it is baked in to the contract. You must go past the group stage in the champions league, or we can reduce the payments by 50% or something like that. That sort of clause, a team like Barca may look at and think, no problemo, sign it, and now have to live with the repercussions

Just another example how clueless most people are. The hatred between culers and uefa has it's history since uefa banned the Estelada flag. Catalans are proud people. They love their signs and symbols. Since Uefa banned their flag as a political symbol and started to fine the club for this, the hatred started and since then, the Camp Nou whistles the cl anthem every time.
With that background, any controversial decision against barca in an uefa competition is met with such chants and whistles. It has nothing to do with the club's board asking uefa for the cl tv money in advance.
He knew what was going to happen.
Why are Bayern dressed like the Ghostbusters?
Barca fans are haunted by ghosts of past greatness, someone had to do something about it.Why are Bayern dressed like the Ghostbusters?
They are actually really good, spanish teams still shit themselves in their music hall, and they are built to smash lesser spanish opponents, stylistically. Against Inter were also just shit happens games, and they missed 5 sitters in munich in the first half. They aren't at the level of the elite sides like City obviously, but yesterday was the first time they were outright outplayed and beaten this season, and it came on the heels of CL elimination...I haven't followed La Liga too much but I am astounded they have won 9 matches in La Liga. Since Xavi took over their attack has generally been good. They've scored 3-4 goals in lots of matches. But their defense is a bit suspicious.I haven't followed La Liga too much but I am astounded they have won 9 matches in La Liga.
