what nobody bumps this when he scores?
second goal does not count
Among all his praises today, we should also mention is stupid obsession with not passing to Nani

Any chance these two goals will get people to lay off his back a bit?
Just one goal off top scorer now, and one goal off equalling his league goal record for the entire season in 08/09.
Improved every year he's been here.

Hes 1 goal shy of being the top scorer in the league, i mean hes scored more than the likes of Drogba/Torres and co i think he deserves a little slack tbh.
Quite possibly. Until his next poor match at least. When such an expensive and talented player is so inconsistant surely criticism is to be expected?
It's not like poor form is unusual for him.

Sod the goals, it's his link-up play with Rooney today which will hopefully make people wait a bit before slacking him off.
I was going to bump it when he finishes his hatrick and EA release an in-form Berbatov next week
Brilliant Berba's Back?
I think the fact that he is so talented and valued by Sir Alex that a bit of patience goes a long way. For what he can give us, and what he's already shown he can give us this season...it is worth waiting for.
Complaining about it all the time doesn't help anyone, and he is one of the easier figures to blame regardless of his performance.
Aye I've not seen the match but I was going to mention that, his gradual drop in form did coincide with Rooney's absence. Even when Rooney was in poor form there were a few occasions (against both Newcastle and West Ham) that they linked up superbly.
And to think people were complaining when Sir Alex said they're his first two, no questions asked.
I think it's 8 goals in 7 starts alongside Rooney for Berbatov this season.
Is Berbatov playing slightly further ahead of Rooney (like he was at the start of this season) or is Rooney playing slightly futher ahead (like last season)?
If it's the former it might explain why Berbatov's been less of a direct goal threat - playing deeper alongside Chicharito does mean he has to focus more on creating and utilising space than scoring.
You're obsessed lad.
It's not really the post-match criticism - even though the people who do complain about him regardless of his performance are annoying - but it's the people who draw conclusions from those performances about his career with us. 'His style of play just doesn't suit us', 'he's too slow', 'we can't counter-attack with him in the side (despite him being our best player at instigating counter attacks this season, see Stoke game for ex.)', 'his movement's just not good enough'...criticisms from one game get exaggerated and become reasons for why 'he's just not a United player'.
On the basis of this season there's every reason to be positive, there's plenty of signs he is a United player.
