How can I upload a picture from my laptop to here without uploading it to one of those image sharing websites

I think it's a modern shirt based on an idea that was around in the 70s. Don't think I'd buy one. Most of the stuff I wore back then I made myself though my sister did embroider the names of the players into my red and white scarf. She also sewed the club crest onto my Levi jacket. I'd like to say it still fits me but I'd be lying (it's far too big for me now).

My mum wore my Levi jacket but took all the badges off. In the end it just fell to bits. I got a new one in the states about ten years ago for $10 in a factory sale. It has a few modern metal badges but it's not as colourful as the first. If I got hold of another cloth two-fingered salute I would stitch it on, that was a great favourite of mine.[/QUOTE]

An ultra-rare image from an ultra rare match. March 1969 and a midweek game against QPR at Old Trafford. Five minutes to go and United are 4-1 up. People leave the ground to make their way home. Yours truly stayed as it was bad form on the Stretford End to leave early. United scored four more goals in the last few minutes to run up an 8-1 scoreline. I jumped on a 263 Special and was asked the final score by a couple of blokes who'd been sat there for a while. They called me a choice name or two when I laughed at them for leaving early. Scorers that night were Morgan (3), Best (2) Kidd, Aston, and Stiles.

Brilliant. I never thought I'd see pictures from that match.

Dave Sexton watches as Garry Birtles signs for United in a deal worth ₤1.2 million.

Awesome photo? Really? Birtles was disastrous for United. One of the biggest flops in the club's history.

Wonder if we will be looking back in 30 years of a picture of Fergie with Nani and Anderson, thinking 'What an awesome photo.'

1968, and Dave McKay and Denis Law hold the Charity Shield that was shared by both clubs after an electrifying 3-3 draw at Old Trafford. It was customary then for the champions to host the cup winners. Bobby Charlton scored twice for United with Law getting the third. Pat Jenning scored one of Tottenham's goals.

Good, bad, or indifferent. It's all part of the club's history. When Sexton signed Birtles, it was seen as a bit of a coup, after all, he'd been great for Forest. In hindsight, he was a bit of a disaster but on the day that photo was taken, United fans, at least those I knew, were buzzing.

Forest away, circa 1968. Ian Storey-Moore, who was later signed by Frank O'Farrell, gets a shot away before Nobby Stiles can block it. Shay Breenan, George Best and Tony Dunne are in shot while Bobby Charlton stands and watches up the other end.

Another important picture. I recalled his first goal and we thought it was to lead to bigger and better things. Stories later circulated that Cloughie sold us duds but Keano quashed that rumour.

I remember watching one of his first games for us against Everton. He had a really good game and was very unlucky not to score. Too bad that it didn't work out for him but, as I said, when he signed, United fans were buzzing.

1971 and Chelsea away. Best is sent off after calling referee Noman Burtenshaw a "fecking disgrace". United ran out winners by 3-2 but Bestie, accompanied by Sir Matt had to trudge down to London for a hearing.

True. I ran into the sea at Blackpool at 4am in October 1980 'cos we signed Birtles!
