On opposite sides. Paul McGrath and Bryan Robson during and Ireland v England match circa 1985.
I think it's a modern shirt based on an idea that was around in the 70s. Don't think I'd buy one. Most of the stuff I wore back then I made myself though my sister did embroider the names of the players into my red and white scarf. She also sewed the club crest onto my Levi jacket. I'd like to say it still fits me but I'd be lying (it's far too big for me now).
Almost the view from my pad on Salford Quays. I used to live in Sovereign Point and could just amble over to OT anytime I wanted. Pure bliss.
He did break his jaw shouting once, didn't he?Stepney looks like he has an enormous deformed chin, until you look closely.
An ultra-rare image from an ultra rare match. March 1969 and a midweek game against QPR at Old Trafford. Five minutes to go and United are 4-1 up. People leave the ground to make their way home. Yours truly stayed as it was bad form on the Stretford End to leave early. United scored four more goals in the last few minutes to run up an 8-1 scoreline. I jumped on a 263 Special and was asked the final score by a couple of blokes who'd been sat there for a while. They called me a choice name or two when I laughed at them for leaving early. Scorers that night were Morgan (3), Best (2) Kidd, Aston, and Stiles.
Dave Sexton watches as Garry Birtles signs for United in a deal worth ₤1.2 million.
Awesome photo? Really? Birtles was disastrous for United. One of the biggest flops in the club's history.
Wonder if we will be looking back in 30 years of a picture of Fergie with Nani and Anderson, thinking 'What an awesome photo.'
The front row looks like they are all wearing diapers. I CANT UNSEE IT.

Another important picture. I recalled his first goal and we thought it was to lead to bigger and better things. Stories later circulated that Cloughie sold us duds but Keano quashed that rumour.
I remember watching one of his first games for us against Everton. He had a really good game and was very unlucky not to score. Too bad that it didn't work out for him but, as I said, when he signed, United fans were buzzing.
