That's back to how Murray was in the first set plus he is keeping his first serves up in the high 60s and he has cut the unforced errors out compared to the 2nd set. The long hard work of the last few years coupled with the Olympics and US Open last year is showing in how mature Murray is now on the court the majority of the time. Odd tantrum now and then but Lendls influence is showing more and more the longer they are working together.
I can't see Federer getting back into it from here. Unless he's at his best he makes too many unforced errors in this matches.
The first serve had to be high today. It's been higher than he could have wished for, he's served like a god today. It's not over until the final point, Fed will not lie down.
I've seen enough Federer matches down the years to know that this is not over. Murray must maintain this serve percentage.

Murray fell asleep there at the end of the 4th serving for the match then in the tie break.

Well he fecked that up. Still think he will win, Federer can't tie break his way out now. But feck me, serving for the match and he went to shit.

Murray has the tie break jinx today he wins a set loses the next to tie break then has a stormer in next, so far so good he has done the same in the 5th.

The Big 4 also really comes full circle. All beaten each other at slams now. What an era, and tbf, how ridiculous is Federer for hanging round with these guys still. AO12 has been brilliant, Djoko-Murray best not let us down.
Federer sneaked two tiebreak wins yet again. Would have been undeserved if he won, Federer will not win a grand slam again. He can't slug it out from the baselines against the three top baseliners, he can't outserve them, his stamina is not as good, it's done.
Fair fecks to the British boy.
If it wasn't for Murray playing the tie breaks so badly he could have done a straights set win but he has the slam win against Federer now so that's away now. He kept his head well today and the Lendl influence is beginning to show through more now.

Murray had such an easy route to the semis that this being five and a test was probably better for him.
Djokovic will be fresh on sunday... gonna be another epic, Murray better get as much rest as he can.
Murray had the same at the US Open he had a 4 hour semi final match before the final and with the work he is putting in over the close season he should be ok for Sunday.
Mentally stronger. Getting to the final of Wimbledon and then winning the Gold Medal has changed him. What a great six or so months for him and what a final it could be.
Murray showing some composure there. Losing the 4th must have been tough but to recover like that is class.
I'd like to see Murray win, but I think Djokovic will.
I said at the start of the tournament that Murray would take Federer out but lose to Djokovic in 5, so I'll stick by that. Would love to see Murray win though.

Murray was comfortably better than Fed but Fed just managed to pick pocket him in a couple of tie breaks. There was no excuse for that awful service game in the 4th set when he was serving for the match though.

Yea Djokovic's record in the Ozzie Open is amazing, will require something really really special from Murray
Rooting for Murray but Djokovic at the Aussie Open is a bit special. Can't see past him.
