AS is, depending on who's the writer either Tier 3 or Tier 4 according to Reals transfer guide on reddit. The only journalist that was atleast at Tier 2 said Real Madrid weren't in for him and that he should probably look towards the Premier League.
I understand that alot of players especially french players, have a huge draw to play for Real. You'd think he'd wanna be a guaranteed starter for any club he's joining, and it's hard to see that with Casemiro still there, and with Cavaminga, Valverde and the duo of Modric and Kroos still there, that it would be hard for him to start every single game, so I'd say we should keep hope for a little bit longer until we get some even stronger journalists linking him to Real or saying they're close to signing him.
I'd say we still have a shot of getting him because he would be a guaranteed starter here and be a part of a project with an exciting manager. Right now I'd say the biggest competitor is Chelsea, but with their ownership situation right now you never know what will happen.

It doesn't matter, they're both going to get a very big money and signing bonuses.
A free doesn't mean they dont pay anything. The reasons players chose to run their contracts out is so that they can get the signing on bonus, this goes to both the player and agent.
It was reported that Rudiger wants a £20m signing bonus and £10m agent fees.
I am pretty sure Mbappe will be at least double that.

He’s going to be a lot better than Kamara and so are Camavinga and Kessie. I really hope the club know what they are doing but I doubt it to be perfectly honest. Kamara was available for peanuts in January and we stood back and left Ralf without options. If he’s our only incoming in midfield this summer I’ll be miffed.

I still don't see Liverpool spending 70m on a midfielder this summer when they have Henderson, Fabinho, and Thiago as cornerstones signed through 2024-26, two young players that need at least some minutes in Jones and Elliott, plus Keita and Ox also signed through 2023. Klopp also confirmed that they have been talking with Milner about extending.
If they sell both Keita and Ox this summer I could see it happening. But otherwise its just too many bodies. And both Keita and Ox are now in situations where waiting a year to leave on a free will be very attractive. Both those guys have been on good-but-not-great money (like 120k a week) and are probably looking at only one more big contract in their careers. They're not going to move Shaqiri style to Lyon for chump change just because they want to play more.

Have you seen their net spend for the last decade? They typically have big spending sprees followed by a couple of frugal years to even the books. They're due a big spending spree. They were going to pay 200 million euro for Mbappé least season so that money is still lying around. I think they could get all 3 if the players (and Monaco) are willing.
Yea they haven't exactly splurged in a few years now so they've got the money for it and the need with their longtime core reaching the final stretch of their careers. If they want him, they definitely have the resources to get him no matter their other additions.
