don't see all three french players ending up at Madrid.....especially the two mids when they have modric,who is still influential, casemiro, camivinga and valverde. Kroos is probably on the way out or a guy that won't be a regular anymore but that would be a very flooded midfield. PLUS....Ancelotti could be gone.
If we signed him I'd be so up for extending pogbas contract

He would only sign for us if City, Pool, Chelsea, Bayern, Real, or PSG are not interested which is not very likely. Or that we offer considerably higher wages and fee. We might have had a chance last summer but we made Sancho a priority.
Kanté has been great for France in all systems, arguably the best player until Benzema's comeback. Kante and Pogba have formed an excellent midfield in a 4231 but France switched to the 3412 in 2019-2020 when both of them were out of the team and Griezmann-Mbappé were struggling a bit, they are both more comfortable centrally and that system put them in their best positions.
Tchouameni and Kante make it easy for Pogba, you can see they do all the hardwork and Pogba just has to scoop the rest. It was the same story at Juventus, with Vidal and Marchisio pressing.
I would have Tchouameni paired up with Caqueret as our midfield, with Nkunku as AM / secondary striker.

don't care if we fail just as long as we try but i would bet we are 3rd or 4th down the list especially if we fail to make the CL

Real going from Kroos-Casemiro-Modrić to Valverde -Tchouaméni-Camavinga would be so underwhelming they would be soon back in the market for midfield additions in no time .
no playmakers in that trio unlike modric and kroos in their prime....that's built more like a liverpool midfield with 3 workers
I don't care if we get him or not, the priority is progressive manager who can make anyone better in a well structured system. Tchouameni can as well turn out to be the next Bakayoko, JM Seri the same way Camavinga can become the next Renato Sanches, if we have a half decent manager and funds, we can bring in a half decent midfielder and make him play to the top level anyway, and there players like that, less overhyped for sure.

Then i would prefer to recommend Ten Hag Manuel Locatelli to play the deep, controlling, dictating cm playmaker in Manuel Locatelli. The complete nr.6. Reason why?Its more explosive and quicker with Locatelli in the first metres than Aurélien Tchouaméni. In other words abit quicker in the head, then it lead to the body which we can experience and observe.
Locatelli is tackling in Serie A like he is the premier league.

But is it realistic to think Locatelli would be willing to leave Juve, let alone Juve willing to sell him? When their main struggle and effort is to rebuild a strong midfield? Surely not.

Games like yesterday's excite players just as much as your bog-standard viewer. The desire to be part of such games is going to work even more wonders for Real. Further to that, other young prospects will see the age of some of their players and the fact Camavinga is getting playing time and have no reason to look elsewhere.

The only story I believe right now is that Pogba and PSG are reaching an understanding, because it would be exactly the type of move they make, as opposed to Tchouameni, which would actually be a need for this team and make them far more solid at their biggest weakness.

He would be absolutely perfect for PSG or Real, United, Chelsea etc essentially any top club in need of a physical and talented CM/DM hybrid.
I can definitely see PSG trying to get to that type of midfield. Herrerra likely to be sold and they will have Paredes, Gueye and Danilo as back ups. If they get that midfield trio, has the ability to match Madrid trio of Casemiro, Kroos and Modric.
I don't think Tchouameni will pick PSG unless he really wants to stay in France. I rather see him picking Real or Chelsea. We would have to go full blast convincing him that we would be the best for his development as he would start here from day 1 and with a progressive coach like ETH will further improve his game.
It'd be a shame for a young player like him to get locked up in the golden cage that is PSG. Best leave that for when he needs that last big pay check.
