Well, I'll tell you more: you are currently sitting on two left wingers so unless you plan to play Bale on the right you should start bidding for a right winger. Someone will take López off ou anyway, he is a bargain at that price.

You tell me, I thought if I were playing this I could be taken to the cleaners with some of my favourites, but even I would wonder if Lucho is worth 45M. Reckon he is borderline overpriced now, 48-50M tops and that taking into account what he can do in midfield.

I was going up to 30m for him and thought that might be enough. Can't believe he's at 45
 
Trust me, when it comes to picking left backs, you'll see why spending 67M for Figo was a good thing...

He is a great versatile buy so 30M would be a steal but is full value now.

With reinforcements also being auction-based it's great to have someone you can start wide or in CM all the way to a final, there's little chance you will have him relegated to the bench so money well spent.
 
By the way I think we should mention time of bid (UK time) from next round so that we know when a particular bid is going to expire while looking at the list.

Aye, been saying that all along. Lahm will be the king of fullbacks here with his ability to play either flank, but 12+ sides will lose if they face Figo as a RW with a half decent side around him.

He would be a bit pricey if you end up using him there, but you are right it's great to have a winger/AM/CM/WB/fullback all rolled into one. He is not World Class in all positions though.

I love how loads of 10M chaps start showing up but the fundamental issue is they won't turn their fullback all game long. The single most effective argument in these drafts is a winger-fullback disparity, just watch what Giggs did to poor Abel Xavier last time out.

The post-70s fullbacks are mostly not up to the job, particularly the leftbacks, so there's game-winning quality up for grabs, but Joaquin, Nani or Ze Roberto won't really be more than one moe chap on the teamsheet. That justifies inflated prices for the top men. That said, right now I'd take Giggs + Enrique over Cristiano for 100M.

Figo, Nedved and Giggs are quite clearly the best deals out there right now, the rest are teamsheet completing exercises.

Giggs vs Xavier was way too big a gap.

Pippa's wingers also came up against Alaba and Gallas, but could not finish the job

It is interesting that Giggs 55m has not been raised at all
 
I loved the EAP-Trippy wars, those three could give way to some classic combos. That said, trippy is a bit buggered as it stands as Beckham-Ljungberg wouldn't be particularly awe-inspiring at 77M, while Pires-Ljungberg for 61M looks a steal.

Will someone take Becks off his books though?

I actually voted Pippa, not that much down to the wingers but Pol just won that on the back of Zidane-Redondo, just like he did against Balu. I don't think anyone gave a shit they both preferred operating centre-to-left.

Aye think Becks is a bit overpriced. For that price you'd want the type of wide man that could tear a fullback a new one all game.

Almost all voters don't care where a CM positioned or a CB (right or left)

My point was it is not all about wingers. There are some great AMs and strikers left. C.Ronaldo + Goofy is ,ad combo but Zidane + Ronaldo would equally be

It depends on the type of striker you pair him up with and also on the opposing team's CBs.

I wouldn't have much of an issue but then if a surprise seems to make one's effort look futile by completely tipping the scales the other way or something it wouldn't be that great in the long run.

Beckham is overpriced imo too. I was really looking forward to creating Giggs-Beckham again but it was impossible when he got raised to 52 so fast.
 
Funny enough if rpitroda will get Beckham Pires and Ljunberg :lol:

I think Pippa is doing something right here, if he gets Figo&Ze Roberto for 77M it doesn't matter which full backs he'll face, he got enough money to build a great side, and with Figo there no one would care what Ze Roberto will do to the other full back no matter who he is.
