In the bat above the reply field, click on the three vertical dots next to the back arrow. Then click on the [ ] symbol. This turns formatting on/off and should bring your smileys and everything else back.

Inappropriate Behavior
The oil light on my Corsa 1.2 keeps coming on when the engine is warm, but only at low revs.
I've changed the pressure sensor, but it still happens, I'm convinced it's the oil pump, but my mate who knows a bloke down the chippy who best mates uncle knew a bloke who worked for Vauxhall at Luton reckons it's the oil pressure relief valve acting up.
What do you think?

Oh, so you just couldn't find where they were in the bar! We were thinking too far ahead then.That didn't work but I pressed the centre 3 vertical dots and it came up.

Ah, I see - that squad list limits the width of the text box so it's lay-out buttons don't all fit anymore and they get collapsed. Not a biggie but a bit annoying:
I reported this some time ago but it still happens that when you click open a spoiler, scroll down a bit so that the spoiler toggle button goes outside the viewport, stop for a few seconds > browser scrolls back up to the spoiler button.
It should be an easy fix, just look for timeouts and scrollIntoView or any other scroll method in the spoiler / javascript files.

I seem to have to log back in every time I leave the site at the moment and even when I click the ‘Remember Me’ button, I also have to do the 2-step thing to check its me.

Yeah, that will be the problem, it's called different things on different devices but means it won't retain any details so you will need to login each time.

No. They have limited posting rights until (if) they are promoted. The whole point is to try to integrate them gradually into the mains (or weed out the worst).
