Your objection is that the buildings are too modern?Don't get me wrong, it's a lovely area, and the pitch is immaculate, but the ground itself is from a different era.
The whole thing's been built in the last 20 odd years, hasn't it?
Indeed. As far as I know, the Riverside was built from scratch starting in 1990.It only opened in '95 and there's been work done on it since. Durham have only been a first-class side since the early 1990s.
Hard start by England. Pitch seaming and could easily be 2 wickets down, so they have done well to get into the 2nd hour without loss of wickets.
300+ looks like a great score, so one player needs to make a good score.
I thought they weren't going to give it .
Take out that 180 and root had been pretty poor. But I guess take out any big score from anyone and they're not as good.
Because he actually does a better job, as a makeshift opener, than your openers do. It would be better for him to be six but your top order would look even more shaky than it currently does.Jammy cnut Trott.
Seriously don't understand how you can't see Watson as the all rounder batting six. He's bowled well in every game and te cnut can't bat time at all.
It's bizarre.
England bring all this pressure on themselves. Run rate abysmal again, no pressure on Aussies.
He's never been an opener though. It would solve the 6 issue and he could bowl without pressure to perform with the bat.Because he actually does a better job, as a makeshift opener, than your openers do.
