Ashes I - 2013 - In England

Course he knew he nicked it. England players knew straight away. He knew it was an extremely feint nick and was hoping for a technology fail. Almost got it as well. You don't do that with one review left.

His reaction suggested otherwise and that's what I was looking at.

DRS works well.

You can't knowingly misuse it and then claim that its not working and you want another go ffs. If Australia get it into their thick skulls not to waste it then they might be surprised. Until then they deserve every little bit of bad luck it throws their way

69-4. Aussies falling apart. Serious opportunity for England to enforce a follow on ... Aussies still need 92 just to avoid.

What an awful shot, need patience in this situation like Bell and Trott yesterday, having already got away with a shot being dropped early on you'd think he'd be careful.

That would be an attacking move, Cook's not going to do that!

In seriousness, I think not enforcing it is sensible (if it comes to that) this pitch will get better to bat on for another day I reckon and England don't want to be left with a tricky chase in the 4th innings.

I don't think we'd want to bat 4th on this in this weather, the pitch is just going to get drier and start to crumble in the footholes.

Agreed, in any rate talk of it is far too early. Clarke, Smith and Haddin are the 3 Aussie players I would back to do well in this situation.

I think my 500 run prediction is looking off here....

Clarke only hope now for Aus.

Australia A are 151-8 currently as well.

As hilarious as that is from an English point of view it's worrying for cricket in general.

Australia are like England of the 90s. It's hilarious to watch.

I thought that it didn't bode well for the Aussies that despite England playing crap for a large part of the 1st test they still managed to win. England were only going to get better.

I'm still expecting Australia to put on a good score, though, the batsmen to come are in excellent nick.

Not been able to watch the game today. Is the Aussie collapse due to great bowling or shit batting? Pitch was very flat yesterday, how the feck are they 94/6??

I'd be surprised if England enforced the follow on if it comes to that. Too hot to flog your bowlers for another 3 or 4 sessions. Go in to bat, get a lead of 500+, then 2 days to bowl them out.
