Sources all linking us to Vidal so far:

Gazetta dello Sport
TuttoSport
Telegraph - Mark Ogden
ESPN - Miguel Delaney
The Times - James Ducker

All of them have at the very minimum said we're very interested and carefully monitoring developments on the Vidal front.
If Mark Ogden reports is then i believe it.

To be fair, Ogden's been out of it a bit lately.

He's said that a bid from us for Vidal is very likely. He's also said Vidal is #1 on our wanted list. How accurate that is I don't know but this has legs to it I reckon.

I believe we're interested but we whether we can beat the likes of Madrid/Munich to his signature is another matter.

Of course it has legs, why wouldn't we be interested? Actually signing him is a completely different ballgame.

Imagine if Woodward actually read this forum. with posts like this;
I believe it. We're making a bid for him. COME ON WOODY!
How could he fail? He would feel obliged to not let us down and he would feel like one of the lads.

I still don't get why he would leave Juventus in the first place.
Possibly for a new challenge. Lets face is. Juve aint gonna win the Champions league yet they will probably win the league every year for the next 3 or 4 seasons.
He has achieved all he can really with Juve and is probably bored of running rings round a 55 year old Sully Muntari.

Could I ask what makes people think that Juve would sell? No being a smart ass or anything, just want to know

Edit: I just read the two posts above. Still don't see it. If Juve keep Vidal, Pogba and Tevez and add to that, they would have a great chance to win the UCL?

We aren't even in it.

Their debt has increased yet again this past year and they're struggling to strengthen in areas they need due to funds if rumours are to be believed. See Sanchez for example, that deal has gone quiet since the other big clubs came in. They need cash to be able to buy. They're well stocked in CM and can offload one of their best in his prime to get what they can whilst they can.

That seems the be their issue, they're skint 'apparently'.

Even so, if you look at the bigger picture, Over the course of 5 years.... who has the better chance of winning the champions league?? Us or Juve??

Its an exciting time for any player to join our club as there is only one direction we can go following last season. People assuming us not being in the champions league next season is a major problem are not looking at the bigger picture.

More than four fifths of Juventus' net profit is being spent on wages. They want to cash in one of their top stars to free up wages, and with the money they get - they want to a younger midfielder like Verratti. Juventus want Pogba to be their star.

I'm 100% sure Vidal will leave Juventus. To whom, is uncertain.

Not to forget the LVG factor, he is one of the very elite coaches in world football today and would be a draw to most players as someone they can learn from.

That's my bet too, whether that's to us only god knows.

Oh, the glass half full perspective. Why not join Hull then? There's more room for progress from 16th and they are even in Europe!

Well we need him the most out of all the clubs he can go to unless City sell Yaya and come in for him... We should be making our move RIGHT NOW

Wow. Just wow. What an increadibly strange way of looking at things.

Mainly because Hull are not far from their cieling as a club. Infact i dont even know why im responding to the above comment. I quit.

The muppet heartbreak will be unreal if this becomes a prolonged saga that goes the same way as those of Fabregas and co. On the other hand, it will be muppet ecstasy if he signs.

If only Koke was available then we wouldn't have to worry about Bayern going after Vidal  Madrid I think will be busy trying to sign their shiny new toys (Kroos and Rodriguez)

If he is actually up for sale sure Barca have already got their midfield signing in and Real want Kroos and possibly James Rodriguez. It's possible that Bayern would be interested but I doubt it.

I can't see Vidal forcing a move or anything like that so it really is determined by what Juve want. Let's just hope they really do want him out, eh?

If I was Woody, I'd fly over to Turin in me private jet. Get to their offices and be like

'I'm here to get Vidal, van Gaal insists he needs his medical, 50 millions'
Old Lady 'No to 50 million Euros'
Woody 'Nah pound sterling b!tches'

jokes

If i was Woody i'd keep all mention of Old ladies down to a hush, lest we make our Wayne aroused as well as angry and confused.

Not a new piece:

Manchester United face £60m fee to bring Paul Pogba back to Old Trafford http://gu.com/p/3pqqd/tw via @guardian

"With all those issues, United believe the fee that was quoted to them is both realistic for a player of his talent and age, yet also a gamble. United did think it was worth persevering and have been in regular contact with Juventus."

It's all guess work at the moment, but I think we are trying to see if we can sign Pogba - he is young and just like Shaw/Herrera a good long term investment. Maybe that's the reason we haven't made a bid for Vidal so far.

The above article is from Daniel Taylor, very reliable.

Lets say Barca are concentrating on Suarez.....Madrid are looking to sell Di Maria and probably looking to replace with James Rodriguez. There is a chance we are fighting this one out with Bayern. Chelsea have cesc and Matic and Thiago on his way back apparently. If we can go all in asap I'd be confident.

What about City? They may not have Yaya soon...

He wont go anywhere this summer. And neither him nor Vidal will sit on a bench for 12 months. They have Fernandinho and have just bought another from Porto. I dont think they are even looking for top end CM.

The Arturo Vidal thread on the Juventuz forum is awesome! Great sense of humour.

They are like us talking about RAWK, and you can see why with the amount of stupid things, like the supposed Vidal quote on Robson, we get carried here.

The transfer sagas of the past are really taking their toll. fecking Sneijder, Fabregas, Hazard, Yaya, Ronaldo...

Nobody is taking Robson quotes seriously.

I'm more confident in Van Gaal and Woodward getting this done than if we were still under Sir Alex Gill.
