Signing no midfielders for 7 years and then Herrera and Vidal in one window would be like being Adam Richman's stand in immediately after Ramadan.

This is clearly made up.

Not a new piece:

Manchester United face £60m fee to bring Paul Pogba back to Old Trafford http://gu.com/p/3pqqd/tw via @guardian

"With all those issues, United believe the fee that was quoted to them is both realistic for a player of his talent and age, yet also a gamble. United did think it was worth persevering and have been in regular contact with Juventus."

It's all guess work at the moment, but I think we are trying to see if we can sign Pogba - he is young and just like Shaw/Herrera a good long term investment. Maybe that's the reason we haven't made a bid for Vidal so far.

The above article is from Daniel Taylor, very reliable.

I wouldn't, as a matter of principle.

Would rather have him and look foolish than watch him play for Chelsea are look even more foolish
I agree, you can't blame everything on Pogba for leaving us. He did what he thought was best for his development.
I am still hoping we will sign hime over Vidal, if we have a choice.

It's true. He left out the end of the interview though.

Conditioning is very important in football so I stay clear of alcohol and parties. I have no desire to follow a champagne lifestyle. My perfect friday night involves retiring to my living quarters in a onesie and binging on strawberry ice cream while watching Paddy Crerand on MUTV

He loves us, it's a done deal frankly.

I don't care where he goes, he is not worth that sort of money, we need someone who will do his fair share of defensive duties and not expect AN Other to do the heavylifting. The attitude and lack of loyalty displayed by him is exactly what we could do without right now. I've no problem with him choosing to move on, so long as he carries on down his own path, elsewhere.

HOLY SHIT have you lot seen this video? it seperates each part of his game up into segments. He truly is the worlds very best midfielder, I knew he was good but he excels at every single part of the game, absolutely incredible player. He is to midfield what RVP is to strikers. Some of his passing and finishing is second to none.

You left off a few letters there?

Why hasn't he be flown in by private helicopter yet? Arturo, wheeeere areeeee youuuuu?! Offer to fly him in by a Hind gunship and let him have a play with the gadgets, too. Get it done Woody.

I don't think there's any chance of this happening. We are much more likely to get to get de Jong in and then strootman in January.

Yeah, exactly that. Think we may get Carvalho and he will be our last big summer transfer.

Don't wanna put a downer on all of this but I really don't think we'll sign another midfielder, I really hope I'm wrong and we are interested in either Vidal or Pogba but I really can't see us signing 2 midfielders for over 30 million in one season.

I really hope either our CB or other CM signing will be the truly big one.... I am getting the feeling Vidal is the marquee...bring him home Woodward!

We'll definitely sign another midfielder, the likeliest scenario is De Jong in this window and Strootman in January which would still be good.

So ideally the choice of midfielder (if we get Vidal), would look something like this?
Vidal, Herrera, Carrick, Cleverley, Fletcher, Fellaini. Do we include Anderson?

Has Ando really been an option for a few years? Tbf that's probably already a little heavy given no CL this year. Imagine if we did sign Vidal we'd probably be looking at having spent c£100m on our cm in a year and we'd still only have one top draw player for that (although I'd still be very happy- plus Herrera might push on very well).

But yeah I'd imagine if we did sign Vidal Felli would be out. He doesn't want to be on the bench I'm sure and he's 4 choice at best out of those options. Take him out and I think that's fine for a domestic season, can maybe promote from reserves if need be. Next season we'd probably want to add another unless Clev has a significant turn around in his game and Fletch shows a lot more fitness.
