It would be a horrifyingly boring movie, with absolutely sweet feck all happening until the final 10 minutes or so.

:D

"We need to talk about Vidal"

Someone could do a Photoshop job on that..

Well, that change came as soon as LVG spoke about the player after Sunderland. Its not a coincidence.

As for them not being that type of reporter - they've all printed that we've not been interested at points throughout the season. That's because that's what the club have told them. Privately, they have most likely maintained a different point of view - certainly Ogden has been sceptical of the denials.

I don't agree. Ogden and co will never report that player X is our main target without them actually hearing from a source at the club. You can check their track record if you want. Ladyman for example was the first to move on the di Maria story.

Emmet Kennedy check his timeline he went from first announcing Vidal done, to ripping Woodward for being incompetent, to lately virtually saying it's done again and his source told him to back off the woody slurs.

Still blames woody For the mess after announcing: "we'z gotz tha moneys" see for yourself.

If we were to sign him, IF, what number would he get? 6,7,8 10 and 11 are taken , where the #9 shirt is more for a striker.

Maybe he will stick to #23? Now , who has that number......

"@EWHK70: Some #Juvefinancial highlights for the 9 months to 31 March 2014:

Net profit €2.9m

Cash at bank €3.8m

Trade receivables €29.8m"

They have to sell/ loan players.

How much more can we spend without running into FFP implications?

Really hard to say, but given we aren't in the CL this season and we'll be getting a nice £75m at the start of next season if we return to the CL (ie, when FFP would matter) then I think we should be okay. It's just transfer costs, too, as Vidic/Rio/Giggs/Evra's wages are all freed up for these new signings we're making. The thing working in our favour is that we haven't spent heavily in previous seasons at all, and our wage bill has always been around 40-55% of our revenue and that allows us a lot of room to move in the market, especialy with the debt payments getting lower each season.

Don't think we're in any danger with the FFP. Man Utd benefit from FFP rules if anything.

To an extent yes. If we spend £250million for example we'd be taking the piss and probably towing the line a bit.

We can still comfortably spend another £50-70million with no ramifications IMO.

This smells like a deadline deal for me. Imagine the euphoria in this place at 10pm if this gets announced!

Pexbo, your prophecy may come true after all.

Can we not do with Anderson et al what we do with our unwanted games when we want a new one. Just trade-in all of our shite, knowing full well we'll get feck all for it, but every little helps.

Mate, im well aware of their track record - believe me. You can also check my history of posts on journos - im well aware of how the game works.

You are missing my point entirely - im not saying they haven't been briefed. Im saying the response was inevitable after LVG publically spoke about the player.
