If you HAD to gamble your house on the outcome of this which would you choose?

Vidal stays at Juve...
Vidal signs for UTD...
Vidal leaves Juve but not for UTD...

10 days ago Vidal signs for Utd, now Vidal stays at Juve

Signs for us.

Mind you I don't own a house so it's a safe bet for me

What exactly does 'Twitter is tweeting' mean?!

Sounds like twitter has added 1+1 to get 2. Chile had reportedly taken a chance on Vidal's knee during the world cup and were then not cooperating with Juventus by not sending medical info through. It would be more likely that the medical was to check up on his knee. I'm sure training alone wouldn't be unusual on his first day back too. Especially if his knee isn't 100%.

It means he is making shit up. He's done it twice without quoting any source or posting any tweets.

Knees fine it seems, allegedly this is him celebrating and waiting outside, whilst his agent tells Juve to do one:

Its kinda frustrating knowing that if we were chelsea, he would have been signed by now. they just get deals done. Its going to be interesting if he does sign and we get a clarification about how the process came about, as i guarantee it was filled with ridiculous dilly dallying.

Chelsea took a while to get Luis and Costa signed and have been trying to penny pinch for Miranda.

I think the silence may be a good thing.

Perhaps Woody has told all parties to shut the feck up, stop leaking nonsense & get on with doing the deal?
Add a couple more €€€ if they keep denying we've done that before.

Or because nothing is happening.
Who knows really.

Agreed.

I think the silence is because nothing is happening. We will start season with current squad and maybe add 1 player in the last week of August.

Costa was a world cup delay wasnt it? and luis was due to looking into other targets if i remember. once they actually sat down with the club and player it was announced within days. Lets not feck about here, they also signed Fabregas this window, and matic in january. Its not the end of there spend this year either. completely forgot about zouma as well, and wasnt salah a january buy?

It was very clear he was going there long before they confirmed it. He was preparing for the CL final trying to get fit at the time of the initial news and then jetted off to Brazil to meet up with Spain team before the World Cup.

Yeah something tells me there weren't 15,000 posts of frenzied muppet anxiety on rentboychat.com!

It's easy to close deals for players with buyout clauses like Costa and Felipe Luis (as with us signing Herrera). And players who want to leave/club doesn't care about like Fabregas.

Nah, just like we didn't particularly bother worrying about Jones and De Gea being confirmed in 2011 because we knew well they were coming here for 2 weeks before they signed.

Hard to see why the world cup would have delayed it by much. He wasn't exactly there long...

The deal was always done though. theres a world of difference between the feeling towards the costa deal and how we are with vidal now for example. He may not have been signed but it was guaranteed to happen. whereas vidal isnt signed, with no guarantee it will happen.

If he signs you'll be able to look back at it with that guarantee. You can't compare a deal that's happened to one that hasn't yet.

Also, who gives a feck how long it takes as long as it's done? You seem to think buying multimillion dollar priced athletes is like buying a bag of Haribo from Poundland.

ffs , someone teach us how to deal with transfers. Look at Chelsea , they complete deals in a matter of minutes while we just can't stop fecking around!!!

If its one thing I admire about Chelsea, its their transfer department, they identify their man and they get him.
Why the feck can we not operate in that fashion, especially when we consider ourselves the bigger club.

Man City go into negotiations with briefcases full of cash
Chelsea go into negotiations with a cheque book
Woodward goes into negotiations with a coin purse

Look how long did it take Costa's and Luis' transfers to complete and compare it to Herrera and Shaw. If anything the matter in which we're dealing with is far better than before.

Nononono. As in, the second speculation started with costa, everyone knew it was a done deal at the time, it was regarded as a completed transfer even when it wasnt completed. Vidal has barely been registered by official interest from the club so to speak.

We are dealing with transfers (and alot of other things) far better than before, but we still have a long way to go.
Chelsea identified their weak areas and bought the best available to fill the positions (Cesc, Costa and Luis)

They got World class replacements in a timely fashion, which is how I hoped we would conduct business this summer, but again... as long as we have LVG this ship has a captain.

Our ship has a good captain, but the company manager is holding us back

He had a buy-out clause. They didn't have to negotiate. Much like Herrera which was done within days.

Even with a buy-out clause it still took Chelsea two months to finalise things. If we sign Vidal it'll be after what? A few weeks speculation? Oh noes.
