Arturo Vidal

Vidal can't burn his bridges and say he wants to move as he can't be sure we will stop fecking about and make Juve a realistic offer. We have to make an official offer.

If it comes down to Vidal needing to decide, I'd imagine there has already been contact and a possible offer.

The Shaw deal seemed to be agreed unofficially before the official £27m was put forward and eventually accepted. I think the same is happening here. An official bid will come out of the blue and swiftly be accepted imo.

Raoul's sources say this is on? Cool! They've never let us down before. Practically confirmed!!

Agreed. "If" it happens, it will blanket the news instantly unlike all the Sherlock Holmes transfer muppet tweets we've been seeing over time.

An offer to him yes, but it's a question of whether he trusts us to pay the going rate in terms of the transfer fee. If he comes out and says he wants out then we don't pay the cash then he's in an awkward place. I doubt he'll say anything at all unless he knows for sure a fee has been agreed.

This is the first time Raoul has disclosed his ITK sources outside his ITK thread in the mod forum.

Yeah I'm sure the fee would be the main sticking point. Juve wanting the money but not wanting to lose Vidal, suggests the fee may be quite high.

I feel like a bit of a hipster right now.

I've been saying this is going to happen for weeks and now everyone is starting to realise it's a certain thing, it takes the shine off it a bit.

if we get Vidal, I would glady accept that the transfer muppet was right. I believe their will be problem in the vidal and herrera partnership especially when we do not play with 3 in the back or with a holding midfielder, but it can not be worse than what we have at the moment. So, if muppet can put all their energy into this transfer and he comes to United, that would be a great victory for them and future muppet around the world.

Didn't @Raoul say something about running physiological experiments in this thread? He's having you all on!

"Threads like this would make for some interesting psychology and sociology research."

Its not a new revelation. The psychology in the transfer threads is akin to 50,000 Wildebeest approaching the Mara river and starting a stampede at each tweet.

60m euros seems a fair market price.
However, despite all the talk from the club I'm still skeptical we'do go to that amount for a player unless he was some sort of half Chinese, half American, Ronaldoesque marketing machine.

The only reason I can see us passing on him (I hope not!) is because we need to find the ideal DM partner for Herrera. Maybe Khediera, Strootman, Mascherano. I'd prefer Vidal as perhaps him and Herrera would build the ultimate partnership of both being box to box, covering for each, both being explosive. It would be excellent.

So right now how would you rate the probability of Vidal's transfer to United? Just curious.

By creating a media shit storm like this, Allegri or Marotta can't take a piss without being asked about Vidal and Utd.
But if United don't bid, why would Juve jump to a new contract for someone nobody is trying to buy? Without a bid what leverage do Vidal and his agent have?

LVG said in a very recent interview that he buys long-term, hence young players

I swear I heard people chanting Vidal from time to time in the second half.

And whats wrong with Vidal being 27? He is just entering his prime years and will be good enough for a minimum of 6 years. That is pretty long term to me.

Getting De Jong, that would be short term. Not Vidal. He is the best box-to-box midfielder in football today.
