Vidal was one of the best CB's in FM for like 4 years when he was still sort of an FM wunderkid.
Vidal would an absolutely epic signing IMHO
Is there anything in this, other than hopefulness on our part?

Why would you be so sure at this stage though? it's as if some posters have some kind of defence mechanism to avoid being let down if it doesn't happen. Obviously I'm not saying that we can sign whoever we want, but we should look the inevitable Mata transfer and many others to remind us that we don't only have a chance when it comes to signing the Ashley Young's of the transfer market. We're a big club, and more than capable of pulling this off, if we're interested.
I think you're being massively over-optimistic if you think we'll sign another world class player for over £30m in this same window.

Juve have stressed that they will not sell Pogba or Vidal in january on numerous occasions and its all more unlikely now that their swoop for Guarin fell through....Not a hope of Vidal coming here....how many times do Juve have to stress it before we get the message?

Yeah but, the tabloids have linked us with a shit load of players. Vidal signed a new contract in the last few months (right?). So why should I believe we're getting Vidal over Cabaye, Machisio, Koke etc.
Well, he's better than all of the mentioned. Vidal would surely be the player to get got. But there are a lot of other options if we are certainly in the market, Koke, Hernanes, Benders, muppet favorite Gundogan. Even Cabaye like you said. None would do better than the chilean, imo. Our profile has certainly risen with the signing of Mata. Wait until we field him with RVP, Rooney, and hopefully Kagawa or Nani

There was talk of 'more players' and 'more good news' and people were making the assumption it was Vidal which I questioned. He signed a new contract in the summer for a start.
I'm not saying it won't happen, but I doubt it. Would be wonderful though.
