Arsenal 22/23 - go to new thread

They should really be winning their next 5 or 6 games, March is a favourable month for them.

Then they have a tricky period where they have to play City, Liverpool, Chelsea and Newcastle in a short space of time.

Yeah will breeze through next 3 now

And the Odegaard chance where he missed an empty net must be at least 0.8 I’d say.

So ha. It's a good chance we missed.

The Martinelli one, fair enough as the game as done by that point.

1st half was 50/50. 2nd half we were all over them really.

Yeah that's true much as it pains me to admit

2nd half they hit the bar and had a couple of other decent chances - Leon Bailey could have squared it a couple of times but wanted the headlines for himself.

4-2 wasn’t a reflection on the game. A draw would have been a fair result.

No.. it really wouldn't have been.

Donno where people get this stuff from. The xG barely lies.

The context of the martinelli goal is why i'm fine with people taking that out.

Usually from people watching the game.

Other than the Odegaard goal - what clear chance did you have?

Saka shot from Mings’ poor defending.
Zinchenko from outside of the box and Martinez own goal isn’t a sign from Arsenal dominating or deserving the win.

You got the rub of the green today, just accept it and move on.

Nketiah hit the bar and then missed an open goal when odegaard played him through. Then odegaard missed an open goal himself, are you sure you watched the game ?

I mean you're just ignoring various things but ok.

As I said, xG >>>>>> your memory.

Still think they’ll win the league. They’re been playing better football than City this season who I think will slip up more than Arsenal will. But at least it will be a race due to their poor recent results

@Buxton @Nish115

do you only post here when you win?

I posted all last season. Even when people mocked us. I remember backing Arteta on here when everyone said we were stupid keeping him.

So, no.

I just stay away when it becomes full of rubbish from other fans. I've also been on holiday the past 2 weeks for my bday and can view Redcafe on a laptop, doesn't work on a phone.

I mean it’s literally a Manchester United forum..

Genuinely not sure why people would prefer City to win the league over Arsenal tbh. Full credit to them. Doing it properly and would be good for the league if they win the league. Just like it was when Liverpool won it, as much as every one of us hated it (and understandable then that we would want City to win it over them). But City are more hated than Arsenal, or should be.

As I said, City are nothing great this year. Capable of turning back the clock and all that. But Arsenal are better in 22/23. Not surprised City dropping more points today.

I’m also here when city drop points

only 2 posts left today so they need to be good

You will take 9 points and stick 14 on us (minimum) could be even worse if we have Barca hangover tomorrow as well

The way they lambasted Gary Neville for saying this exact thing would happen is hilarious.

Gary Neville is obscene. Come the end of the season, Arsenal is going to be 20 points clear of United in the League table, and when that happens, it will still flatter United as to the relative strength of the two teams.

No chance it's 20 maybe just double figures, see this level of arrogance is why I want City to come back at you again

United is a 60 point team who is going to luckbox their way into 70 points. Arsenal are a 90 point team. Do the math.

Gotta admit, I find this business about how Arsenal plays home to this fixture where City is away to that other club kinda silly. That sort of thing could end up being important in the title race but even so it's still irrelevant to United. Like starting this weekend. Right now, United is 8 points back of Arsenal on points dropped, and United plays Leicester tomorrow whereas Arsenal play them next weekend. Arsenal for sure will beat them, but United is kinda maybe a little better. United could win, but then you can't be really too upset if they drop points, for just an overall lack of quality in the squad. Whatever it is, the most likely thing is that by this time next weekend United will be further behind Arsenal than they are now.

For what it's worth, I'm a pretty atypical fan. The Arsenal subreddit had this on a few days ago,
reddit.com/r/Gunners/comments/111653f/this_is_so_accurate,
which is more representative of the fan base I figure.

Point proven with this nonsense again.

What a load of old waffle. If ever a couple of posts summed up why no one wants you lot to win anything, it’s your previous two.

It’s going to make the fall off when it happens every more joyful to watch.
