Television Arrow | Ending on Season 8

That's a shame. By all rights she should be a fit blonde with massive tits, fishnets and a corset.

So we have a scene where a girl calls a guy Cisco...

Non-Green Arrow Comic Spoilers :

Then he mentions getting a bad vibe, just to force it down your throat. Yeah its Dc's Vibe. They also mentioned Arthur Light, Dr. Light. The girl "Caitlyn" could be Caitlyn Fairchild brought over from Wildstorm like Felicity Smoak was from Firestorm comics. I mean there are similarities, but its guesswork. However more likely it could be Caitlyn Snow, Killer Frost. I dont remember what she looks like before her change... or she could be nobody at all from the comics. There's also that possibility.

Felicity then tells Diggle that Barry Allen was moved to Star Labs. Which suggests Vibe and whoever the Caitlin girl is, will be part of The Flash's show.

Caught up on this and must say am quite impressed. Love that Deathstroke finally makes his mark and Cryxus is brilliant, especially how he says 'Vigalaaaanteee'. However, Black Canary is butt ugly and Laurel that horse just annoys me so damn much. Will Roy become Arsenal? It's what they're pointing at I guess?

Arsenal, Speedy, Red Arrow, take your pick

And yea, what @Ekeke said, there was just too much emphasis put on those two in the last episode to be a coincidence, I think that Flash is getting his own serie and they're introducing various characters from that show into Arrow. Expect Arrow to pop once or twice in the Flash show.

I'm absolutely loving what I'm seeing by the way, so much fun this.

I think its an ok show, could be so much better. I expect if I'd never read a DC comic I'd like a fair bit more... I expect Flash will be exactly the same so if you love this you'll probably love that.

They better not mess up the Constantine show though. My favourite DC hero, his show needs to be a lot more gritty

Why post all the time just complaining about the show? Stop watching. Simple.

I've seen like five episodes of this, and it was okay but it didn't seem like anything special so I stopped following it. I'm bored now, though, and haven't got much to watch, so I might give it another go. Does it get better?

When i watched the first season i was surprised that this was given a second airing. Ok story with endless flashbacks and what was with Olivers neck it seemed as stiff as his acting. Second season is much improved but still lacks something, like Smallville they are restricted by copyrights.

It does certain things really well.

No one has had their memory erased yet  (smallville)

I don't know really, I liked Smallville despite that fecking endless lovestory plot that was getting boring as hell but Arrow seems to be a class above.

Last episode was quite wow, not sure whether I like it that they rushed the ending or not but it'll get interesting.

Season 1 wasn't very good, but season 2 has been. There are lots of threads that are starting to come together. The acting is crap though.

A lot of things I enjoy have bad acting, but they don't necessarily need good acting.

Im not even sure the acting is bad. Only about 3 of the actors cant act.

I think the cast of Smallville was better than the current cast of this at least until Michael Rosenbaum left. The writing is about the same but Arrow has a more interesting main character as Superman is one dimensionally clean and good whereas Green Arrow can be in the grey and theres more flexability about what can happen, because everyone already knew the Superman story and there would be riots if they deviated from what fans would expect when it comes to main characters.

I think theres 2 perspectives to look at it from

1) Is it somewhere near as good as a show of this type could be using DC's concepts and material and 2) Is it "Good TV" ?

1) is a definite no in my opinion. I remain hopeful they make a few good choices somewhere down the line and cut out the parts that haul the show down, but maybe Flash's show will be more what I'd like.

2) is a maybe. For example I'd say the season 1 finale was "good tv" even though I disagreed with what happened. Short term it was eventful and a bit of a shock, but believable enough for it to stick and for me as a viewer to care about what happened.

Last week's episode had stuff like Roy not responding and listening to his friends for 30 mins of the episode to get across that he cant be reasoned with, but then all of a sudden he's somehow watching the news and listens to Thea's message about where they are, luring him into a trap. Its a bit too much to ignore in my opinion. TV show writing is rarely "perfect" to every fan's opinion but a show should be held to a higher standard than that.

People will obviously disagree, but since this is my post here's where I'd like to see them move towards. I'll spoiler it purely because I'll mention names used in comics :

Finish season 2 and kill Deathstroke off. Start fresh in season 3 without him and no cameos like Malcolm Merlin has still done this season.

Move Roy along to whichever alias he's going to use in the show. Speedy is taken by Thea for some reason, Red Arrow would be a little bit lame considering half the characters that have appeared in the series have been archer themed. Arsenal would be the most interesting to see.

Characters I'd like to see them introduce for more than just a 1 episode cameo :

Cheshire to make Roy more interesting. And if they're going to continue to have the usual lovestory with him and Thea, at least Cheshire is unpredictable, sneaky and a killer.

Green Lantern would make sense as one of Oliver's best friends, but I doubt sense is enough to introduce something they'd have to spend so much time explaining. Likewise Batgirl would make sense for Black Canary and with less special effects and fitting into the current Arrow world better than a Lantern would, that could happen.

One I'm expecting eventually is Lady Shiva as we have already had the league of assassins explained and introduced. It makes sense for her to be a villain for Black Canary and theres no reason why she cant rival Arrow too as shes supposed to be an elite level fighter.

Great show. Thats all i can say about it really. Definitely at the level Agents of Shield wants to be.

Regarding roy, I can wait for :
Him to become arsenal, and suit the feck up

That, will be awesome.

Would Sin make a good cheshire? Dont think they care about reinventing and combining characters if it makes good TV.

I really want to see Nightwing, hes been hinted subtly a few times now!

I think these clips from Young Justice give a good example of what you want from their interaction and what kind of person to play the role. If you havent seen the show or arent aware of what happens in the comics, there are some spoilers after about 5 mins

She's a villain and I think you want an instant impact from villains, so bring in someone ready to go from their very first moments on screen. Not showing a bit-part character training some martial arts for a while. We've already had that with other characters anyway

Just started the latest episode. Why do they have to have the shitty music playing in sad or emotional scenes. I feel like fast forwarding it.
They did it in the first season a lot with romance scenes. It shit. Stop it.

2 more episodes, and I'm wondering if I should save next weeks, and watch them back-to-back after the finale has aired.

I thought next week was the last. Ep 22

EDIT - You're right. 23 episodes. 2 more.

That's cool. Arrow has to be the best superhero programme on tv. I would say its better than most of the films too. For me only the dark knight trilogy compares

Think it will only be rivaled by the other DC tv series that are coming out. Gotham, Flash and Constantine could all be amazing (any I've missed?).

Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D is quite good too but I think I must be a "DC fanboy" because I'm not a fan of a lot of Marvel's stuff.

Not even a comic reader, but do really like those 2 shows, Arrow is far better though I reckon.

I agree. I also like Agents of SHIELD. The last few eps have been pretty good. The problem with these shows is usually they are scared to go too far because they think kids are the main audience.

What a finale! Glad I decided to give this show a try after seeing so many people suggest watching it.

If there is anyone who isn't a comic book fan (like me) thinking it will be crap because it is based on a comic book, then put that thought out of your head and watch it.

Season 3 and Flash will be running at the same time?

I thought the final was great too. I think they will be in the same timeline yes. I doubt it will be as good as arrow though. I cant wait for the next season

It seems that with introduction of Flash and the whole background to guys he's going to fight against ( all the superpower thing ) they've opened themselves a new route for Arrow, smart move.

Can't wait for both to be fair, loved Flash in all those cartoons I've watched as a kid, he was a cheeky cnut. Hope this show doesn't fail to deliver.

I find it funny how goons jacked on Mirakuru were virtually invincible before and in the last couple of episodes were complete pussies. I too hope Slade will be back next season, by some ridiculous distance the best character of the show.
