Television Arrow | Ending on Season 8

So I guess that not taking off the hacker's head bag was not coincidental ?

Also, they're coming up with the sillies again. Guy who put his brother down trying to moralise his wife, I really hoped Oli would put one in Felicity's head too.
I was at least praying he'd kneecap the cnut

That would have been great, a shot to the kneecap to get her out the way, then him taking another shot to stop Helix.
Would be funny if Helix leader turns out to be Felicity dad LOL
I think the Felicity/helix stuff has been decent cos its a break from the nomal olicity stuff, but I dont think they did a good job with Billy to make that a big enough reason for her to want Chase caught by any means necessary thus her working with heels. I dunno.

Putting rene with Lance was a good move for both characters esp Rene.\

It was an ok ep (except for obvious hypocrisy shown by characters)
but clearly setting up for the final stretch by getting rid of Helix (for time being) and shifting focus back on Chase.

Felt ever since death stroke this series has been circling the drain but all of a sudden this season has been great. Prometheus
Chase
has been an excellent villain and all of a sudden Arrow seemed to matter again.

The trailer for the upcoming episodes looks very intresting with some cameo roles

My god that was the absolute pinnacle of shit. They combined everything bad and universally despised about the show and crammed it into 40 minutes of fetid gunk.
Surprised that people are still watching this
It's been a decent season in fairness and they've got a great villain but this episode was a return to the worst wank it has ever produced.

Yeah, worst episode of the season. I was actually quite excited about the prospective of them trying to work their way out of an intense situation. Instead the flashbacks and the situation focused more on the drama of the relationship rather than the situation they were actually in.
Worse, is that on the outside, Lyla and Digg were having the same argument about trust and being hypocritical.

The only thing that really mattered was the last minute.

Its a shame cos this whole season has been fun, but it shows how bad the olicity drama drags it down.

What happened in the last minute? I turned it off in disgust with a few minutes to go.

Amazing isn't it?

The first thought that flew through my mind when I understood that those two feckers are locked down the bunker was 'oh God please no'.

Let's hope that this last episode doesn't ruin a genuinely very good season of Arrow. Olicity never works.

Do you think the writers deliberately took the piss, I know a lot of people were happy that Olicity was done and dusted and that Arrow going back to its root was the best way for the show. What prompted this return of drama love bs is a mystery to me.

They probably had to do a filler episode and decided to do it with all the unused material that they had. Hope thats the last of Olicity that we see.

I think the writer / director (Greg) is a huge fan of it and its why its happening. Its silly. I wouldnt even mind them together, if they just stopped the drama element of it. Its just seeing them cry over each other for 30 minutes of an episode, or talking about trust needs to stop.
TBH, they should have just had them get together in the last season and kept the flirting part of it until then.

I stopped after finishing Season 4, as it was getting unbearably shit with all that Olicity crap. Did i make a good decision to not watch Season 5?

S5 is much better than S4, with many new characters. Just that this last episode was fecked up

It is ruining what has been a good season IMHO. The whole blame game, inner drama too is soooo tiring

Isn't Marc Guggenheim running this show? The reddit sub seems to be dishing Guggie every day.

Ahh its one of them. Thought it was Greg berlanti, but yeah, probably him. One of the two is obsessed with it.

That was very anticlimactic, to say the least. Dunno why the ending reminded me of the
"Martha" scene from BvS.

Enjoyed the episode. Less romance drama and more actual drama is what is needed for a show like this.

Anti-climatic? Well at leasts it not the ending. We know Chase had access to Olis son, and he seemed to give himself up really easily. Given how complex hes been, this is all part of the plan.
And with 2 eps left, its interesting to see where it goes.

And aha, Oli having a fake beard/hair on the island when rescued. Good stuff.

That fecking scene with Diggle and Felicity driving though, Christ

I'm glad they reached to him, missed the guy. I also hope they kill Evelyn, she's got something about how she looks that triggers me bad.

What a fantastic set up. I was a little worried when it started and it seemed all signs were just pointing towards Oliver and felicity. But the way they moved pieces here to set up the finale, the returns and oh boy, the big badass return at the end, kid.

And its all gone back to the island, where it all started. A nice way to round up the end of the flashbacks and finish it... where it all started.
I like the ties to each season being brought back to lead to the finale.

Chase is a fantastic villain. And its nice that the finale will be about them going to war rather than saving a city or the world from destruction. Its personal. If they can deliver a fantastic finale, (which they really should), I will say welcome back to Arrow :)

edit: Also, im wondering if its contractual issues or filming issues or what, but surely now would have been the best time for Oliver to try and get some others to help (Ragman, Roy? Vixen?, Maybe even Constantine?)

yyyyyyyyyyyyeeeeeeeeeeeeessssssssssssssssssssssss sssssllllllllllllaaaaaaaaaaaaadddddddddddddeeeeeeeeeeeee motherfecker. i squealed like a bitch at the end there

adrian chase is fecking awesome. he's right up there with slade as the best villain on this show.

The parallels between the flashbacks and current period in this episode makes me think that Chase is Kovar's son.

Would be fantastic if Chase is Slade's son though and this whole season has been about getting Slade out of Argus.

Is next episode the finale?

Arrow for me has become background TV, but am instantly excited Slade is back, but would liked to have him for at least 2 episodes.
I am presume Ragman is coming back. Funny thing is he could probably beat everyone singlehandedly and probably the reason he was written out as he was way too strong.
The whole episode was about Oliver facing things alone, however as it stands, him, Merlin, Nyssa, Slade and presume Ragman,(though even without him) would easily beat Chase, Talia, Evelyn, Black Siren and league ninja's

I guessing someone is going to die, my money is on Felicity, seeing as they have returned back to the lovey dovey stuff between her and Oliver.

Also what happened to the vigilante, i know he got thrown off a building, but it was a bit of a anti climax, and never saw him die or found out who he was..

Also, so glad they brought back Nyssa. Always was fond of her and the way she says "husband" to oliver.lol

Man Utd Bennett has insane screen presence.
Surely they can't all be dead though. Doubt their budget allows such a massive turnover of cast

I wish he could be in the show permanently to be honest. Oliver should have just told them all to go for a swim so if Chase died they would be safe from the bombs.

Haha fecking lame the way they finished it but sure as hell was so much better than Flash. I'm sure they've hid in the bunker where Slade was kept.
