Arne Slot | Liverpool manager (Posture and/or Sack Watch)

Youve got Gomez and Quansah to cover for him though or are those 2 not really good enough?
Gomez is. I think it's just been a bit systemic. Robinson letting in some he shouldn't be, a red card against Fulham, losing concentration against Tottenham. A loss of focus overall.

Not really. Gomez is decent but you can tell he hasn't spent much time at CB over the last years, in every game he makes a couple absolutely facepalm worthy mistakes - just look at him in that early chance yesterday, the one were Mavididi overhit an easy through ball, shortly after the 1-0

Quansah is really really green

that article is why i hate modern football.
I feel you. I miss the days of football romance but you can't argue with the numbers. Let the ball do the work, not the players.

In one of the best jobs in the world and about to win the PL and the CL. He's in absolute dreamland you can tell by his facial expression.

Would be funny if Utd won tomorrow. Unlikely but freaky results do happen from time to time.

Don’t know what game this fool was watching as he is claiming Liverpool dominated the first 75 minutes and we did not play.

He also said United just kicked the ball long. A Liverpool manager talking about teams playing long ball football.

Coming across as a bit of a sore 'loser' in this interview. Not necessarily a bad thing in the grand scheme of things but not as lovable as everyone makes out.

Bizarrelly he didn't reacted almost the whole match to trent's autobahn.

First time I’ve seen him speaking and think he’s talking utter bollocks.

I thought his interview was pretty good to be fair. Sure he probably saw this as a piss easy 3 points going in like any sane person did. But he broke down the game well...

For a season of praise for his reaction in game though, not to bring off Trent sooner was bizarre. But probably puts a lot of wealth in Trent's creativity outweighing the defensive lapses, but when it's that bad? Mad.

He's just seen a bloke rock up to his ground and out thought him. Salty bald bastard.

He took a sly shot at us saying that we are a strong team who turn up once in a while.

A couple of transfer windows under Amorim and a Salah depature later we could be looking at a reasonably matched and spicy rivalry.

We're very close to knowing our best current 11 now aren't we.
Just whether Shaw fits in, or whether we go a bit more attacking for the wingback role.

Play like that often and we maybe don't have as many urgent replacements needed.

Would you say that's an unfair assessment though? If anything it's massively flattering you.

He also said they were lucky not to lose.

He's not exactly wrong though is he?

We knocked them out the cup last season then beat City in a final, and this season we've beaten City and drew to them at Anfield, all between a load of piss poor performances against worse teams

Didn't Amorim basically say the same after the match?

Yep. Big ticket performers but not consistently good enough.

United competed today from the first whistle. Fought for the right to play and hurt Liverpool, putting them off their stride. Deserved the draw. But go on a run now rather than just showing up for big occasions

Liverpool managers and captains have a habit of coming out with those kind of untrue jibes whenever they don't get the result they expected vs United.

Why bother though? They are top of the league and likely are going to win it and it's only bottling it that can stop them, and it makes him come across as rattled

Fingers crossed Salah buggers off at the end of the season and Liverpool drift back into the mid-table fodder they should be. Hes completely carrying them this season. People fawning over Slot is mad. Salah is carrying their entire title challenge on his shoulders right now. He has directly contributed 31 goals. 18 goals and 13 assists. Liverpool have 47 goals total in the league. Hes directly contributed 66% of their goals in the league. Hes won them so many games and put so many goals on a plate for the other players this season.

If Salah doesn't take them to the absolute cleaners for a new contract hes mad. Liverpool would be crazy to let him leave.

Correct. We've become game raising b*stards.

I was more confident of a result today than vs Newcastle at home. Today was basically a free hit. All the pressure was on Liverpool. United being in slightly better form would have helped them. It was similar last season. 0-0 draw a year on from 7-0. The pressure was on them also. We were on 10+ defeats in all comps and out of Europe.

Salah is a player that misses 3 to convert a jewel (or not even a chance, but great play where he doesn't take the best decision), his greatest characteristic (aprt form his obviosu extraordinary talent) it's that he very very rarely doesn't participate in one form or another. Yet at the same time Liverpool as a team is the one that constantly puts him on play time and again to him do his stuff.

The real issue, it's that from the forward line, he is clearly the more clinical of them all in terms of assists and goals, and mor eimportantly be clever enough to create pases to him. So indeed they need him like water till someone else trully steps up, but to make Liverpool as only Moh, it's silly.
