It's strange to keep saying that game after game really. No one is blaming him for the mess but the thread deals with the idea that giving him the job permanently was a mistake . He might not be responsible for this mess( well he is to a certain extent) but he isn't the guy to lead us out of it

They're not always devoid of confidence though are they. We finished second last year, won a couple of trophies the year before, won the FA Cup the year before that. We went on a long winning streak only recently. Something has gone wrong behind the scenes for this collapse to happen.
We're playing as bad as we have since Fergie left. Arguably even worse than the worst of Moyes or Mourinho.
Ole cannot be judged until Dec 2019 at least.

The same thing has been said for the last six years. We’ve just been beat again people are going to be emotional.Christ sake. Give him a transfer window and a chance to actually build a team the way he needs to. It’s glaringly obvious the squad needs work, a summer of building is the absolute bare minimum any manager coming in should get.

When Jose got sacked I thought finally we will get someone who will get us playing modern progressive football and unfortunately even in his best spell we haven't really seen that with Ole . This league is crazy competitive now , gone are the days when you could bully everyone just by the difference in quality , now you need to control games or every team can hurt you and unfortunately we seem incapable of controlling a game . It is not an insult on Ole , he did a great job as an interim but there was no reason for United to make that decision in march
Should be upset at the board and scouting team then... we played well in the first half. The 352 worked well and we actually threatened them more than we did against Everton and Barca.
It's not looking bright, literally waited for him to become a permanent manager for the wheels to fall completely off. I tend to lean towards the notion that he is out of his depth as well, but just as with Mourinho or any other coach, I'd like to see what he does with his transfer window. I think he is at a major disadvantage with major clubs going through a rebuild in Madrid and Bayern who will likely be more attractive destinations for all major transfer targets.

It’s been relegation form since he was made permanent manager. What makes you so strongly believe that Solskjær is the right man for the job?
Just because he was a fecking legendary player for us doesn’t mean that he is the second coming of Sir Alex.
We needed strongly leadership after the diabolical Mourinho era. We needed someone with the experience and tactical nous to get us back on top. Can you honestly and truthfully say that you believe that Solskjær has the pedigree to do that?
I’m worried because it will take lots of bad results before the majority of our fans will judge him properly.

How would you know, he's been here since December when we were 13 points of Spurs. Looked absolutely dead and buried and hasn't been given a transfer window yet. If he gets us champions league football after how far we sunk, it will be impressive. Inherited a mess, went on a big run and has serious issues to fix. It's not an overnight fix, maybe that's what people need to start realising.
Nothing happened behind the scenes, OGS overachieved in that run, it was a post Mourinho euphoria that went away with the first bit of pressure.

The trophies we’ve won since SAF are insignificant for a club like United, and are not a barometer of where we are as a team, Arsenal won like 3 Fa Cups in 4 years or so didn’t they? And they were and are still not good, neither are we.
We played awful football, were way off ever challenging for the title, spent ridiculous money on a long line of rubbish players, suffered constant reports of discontent in the dressing room and public blastings of the players, and were generally in the absolute pits by the end of Mourinhos tenure.
The mess we are in is a culmination of that and all the other shit decisions that have been made over the last 6 years.
Guardiola is one of the best managers in the world, City are one of the best teams in the world... If it was an one-off i could get behind it, but i see the same patterns every match. This is not a knee-jerk reaction.
The games we won vs Watford & West Ham at home were extremely fortunate. We were played off the park by them. We were schooled by Wolves twice in a row. Completely embarrased vs Everton. Marco Silva was looking on the verge of the sack a few months ago, come on... If he's struggling vs these, what hope has he got vs the top 6?
No sign ever of a plan B if we go behind in a match. Subs always way too late.

We're in real trouble. A loss to Chelsea and it's 8 out of 10. A game raising Huddersfield for jokes and it's 9 out of 11. A Cardiff fighting for their life on the last day, coupled with game raising because it's Ole's old team....and it's 10 losses out of 12.
The imagination doesn't need to be stretched too much to see that possibility. He's definitely getting fired in that scenario.

Is it though? Most of these losses are coming from individual errors, our superstar goalkeeper is going through the first real prolonged slump of his career and there's obvious holes in the squad that need fixed.
I wish it's as easy as blaming it on the manager but this is not it.
We need someone who understands the club and the way we should play. I honestly trust him with the warchest more than I would any realistically available manager atm. He didn't cause De Gea to suddenly lose his confidence, or Young to decline worse every match.

We blew our load far too early. What the feck was the rush when we could have just waited to the season was over. Bunch of clowns.
Ole is not to blame for the players he has, however I just hope he gets someone to help him with recruitment and they can both stand up to Mr. Woodward. I do blame him for being slow with his subs. Those last two needed to come on at least with 20 minutes to go. Also he is showing some bad judgement in picking the likes of Young and Lingard. He now needs to be completely ruthless.
Next December will tell. For me I lost faith in how he can manage games. 7 defeats in last 9 you have to ask your self would it have happened under anyone?
