Appointing Solskjaer was a mistake

If Ole deserves any credit for the winning run, he deserves criticism for this losing one.

If he was still here on an interim basis, would he be given the job overall having assessed the season (his tenure) ? When he came in he swore to the public and fans that this was a quality bunch of players, now all of a sudden they are deemed not good enough.

There's too much hypocrisy in people's opinions, for me it's a bit of both Ole does look slightly out of depth and the players are not good enough for the club to move forward.

To blame just the players is incredibly naive.

We need a major overhaul in the summer but we haven’t created anything for 8-9 games now.

Ter Stegen didn’t make a save over two games.

Same with Ederson.

Pickford had one shot in the 86th min.

There is no plan. With players with awful quality it’s just a disaster.

7 loses in of 9 games is unheard of Man United in my time.
But then again, Pogba aside you can see that our squad isn’t much better than Everton’s.
We need about 7 players.
More than half of our squad isn’t good enough to be squad players here.

That's not true though is it.

We signed Everton's best striker since the bloody 1980s. Sanchez was arguably the best player in the league two seasons ago. Fred was a Brazil international coveted by St Pep. Martial was a 'future Ballon D'or'. De Gea made the World XI last year.

We have a much better squad than Everton.

He could have put on his substitutions a little early on? No? Saying he did NOTHING wrong is a little naive and I hope that's not with biased tinted glasses.
He set them up well. They gave it a decent shot against a better team and were basically undone by bad goalkeeping. I didn't see anything in that to blame Ole for.

We will start to see rumours of United looking for another coach coming out soon...

I will give Ole one summer, some new players and a pre-season. If the team does not improve until Christmas, start looking for a new manager.

None of Mourinho, Van Gaal or Moyes had a run as bad as this. You have to go back to the 1970s.

It was so obvious the side hated Mourinho and yet he managed better results than this.

We can blame the players for the majority of what we see, it's a bit damning on Ole too right now. The Everton match in particular still dawns on me, why the feck would we put McTominay and Young on to change the match

What was he supposed to say otherwise? We've shit on Jose for throwing the players under the bus out in public, and rightfully so. What's happened is that he overachieved during the winning run, this is back to normal and he's struggling to lift the team. They are not playing as they were when he first came on. Part of that is on him, but it's simply the team's true quality showing. Sometiems they do work hard, but still lack the quality against superior opposition.

It's been clear for all to see this second half. Once the intensity died down, we've been shown up for the clueless team that we are.

Our whole plan seems to be just run a lot and not much else. If that fails... well we're screwed then. Has Ole even heard of a plan B? What's the point of making changes 10 mins to go?

7 losses in last 9. We've conceded 9 goals in 3 games since we last scored and those were lucky penalties.

We're going absolutely nowhere.

Ole is completely out of his depth.

We were the better team in the first half and with better players we would have even scored a few imo. Our players are shit though.
It's just entitled babies on here looking for scapegoats. Anyone could see he got the tactics right tonight. Yet the same twats are out in force.

Shouting (XL Font)
Appointing Solskjaer was a mistake

It's beginning to seem that way.

Nice guy. OT Legend.

And what else ???

I'm worrying that Woodward made yet another piss poor decision.

Hope I'm wrong, but the signs aren't good.

He did feck all wrong tonight. Plastic cnuts

What does this mean?
Weve lost 7 out of our last 9.
Hes obviously doing something wrong.
We werent even this bad under Moyes.
Hes done nothing right
For A LONG time.

This is generous.

Can't understand his sudden trust in Fred. The player is inadequate and brings absolutely nothing to the table.

Awful selection tonight if he actually did want to win the game.

If he persists with Fred and the English turds against Chelsea and we lose my opinion might start to darken as to his prospects of being here this time next year.

Perhaps on paper. Reality is a bit different.
Sanchez is a non factor at this level anymore, Anderson was “the next Ronaldinho”, look how that turned out.

On paper, we’re great, in reality we’re shit.
This group of players let us down time and time again.
At some point, you’ve got to start seeing that the main issue is that the players are not good.

Hopefully. All I want (like all of us) is what’s best for the club, but once again the board have fecked this up.

All they needed to do was wait to the end of the fecking season before making a decision.

Seven defeats in nine games :(.

Unfortunately it's done and unless Ole decides to leave we are screwed for a couple more seasons

Really can't blame ole here, even if I wanted to. Look at the step by step of the team. Could have scored 3 goals in the first half alone. Rashford stupid long shots, Fred not knowing where to even go. Pogba kicking the ball to far in front of him like 5 times, thus losing the ball. Lingard missing a sitter, not marking sane at all! We had plenty of chances and players are too sh**e to even put it away.

We have not scored a goal from open play in 8 hours but keep talking about how it would be different with better players

The squad needs improving but the players are completely devoid of confidence and that has to come from the management. Ole's getting the worst out of them at the moment, not the best.

Agree 100% mate.

We had one shot on target and we conceded 2 and should have been more.

Going to be extremely embarrassing for Woodward if he has to sack him.

I partly agree, Jose had no leg to stand on with criticism because they were his players, he signed enough players to replace the starting 11 and then sh@t on them.

I always picked Poch to succeed here because he's the most ideal candidate given his career and our long term aspirations. Solskjaer given the job on the basis of 3 months I can fathom that, but the biggest question mark is what Solskjaer offers us 2 or so years down the line, he's got no credentials in building a squad and this is a huge issue.

Some wnkrs in this thread tonight, only a fecking idiot would blame Ole for the mess we are currently in. This is years of poor management and recruitment we are seeing. I bet the same people complaining tonight will be all Ole at the wheel come the end of next year.

Christ sake. Give him a transfer window and a chance to actually build a team the way he needs to. It’s glaringly obvious the squad needs work, a summer of building is the absolute bare minimum any manager coming in should get.

This place :wenger:

They’re always devoid of confidence, a couple of good runs aside, they’ve been awful for this club all in all.
They’re not strong enough mentally to play for this club, and should be replaced.

He set them up well ????

Yes. They were set up correctly, threatened at times and were beaten by a better team with some help from De Gea. Did you expect more tonight???

My favourite posts are the ones that moan about his selections and substitutions as though there is a combination or specific player that has routinely shown they're the solution, whilst also implying he is in anyway responsible for the tragic mess the squad is in.
