I started watching The Killing. Really like it so far, I hope it won't tail off. It's quite dark & gloomy.
Is Peaky Blinders truly worth my time? How about the Americans?
Just looking for stuff to watch to finish off 2014 with.

The Americans is well worth watching. One of the best shows currently airing.
Just watched the first part of the Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy series. Hooked.

Where are you at now ? I thought the 3rd season was the best, specially the actor playing the man being condemned to death. Amazing performance.
BBC miniseries with Alec Guinness. Quite good, as was Smiley's People a few years later.
And I think all of Tinker, Tailor is on Youtube.
Yea, I saw it. I liked it, it has very good production values, an intriguing setting, and from what I hear, it's quite faithful to the book. Never actually read the book so I don't know where it's headed, but hopefully the rest of the show is good. I'm sure it'll get a full season order, it has the best reviews out of all the new pilots, and the most views on Amazon.Has anyone checked out The Man in the High Castle on amazon? Just a pilot for now but getting good reviews and as it's one of my favourite books, I'm hoping it gives a good account of itself.
Starts Thursday. Worth trying just for Rain Wilson.
Really wanna power through The Wire and see what all the fuss is about. I fear it'll be another Breaking Bad disappointment for me though. Going in expecting to be blown away and leaving somewhat let down.
But I need something to tide me over until Game of Thrones. feck it, downloading season one now.

EDIT EDIT: Can anyone recommend Parks & Rec? I've decided that I want to watch cos Chris Pratt is legit hilarious and I don't wanna watch Always Sunny because the main fella looks like a douche. His face to way too punchable for my liking.
I really enjoy Parks and Rec. It's a tad overly-sentimental, but it still delivers good laughs.
You should definitely be watching It's Always Sunny. One of the best comedies I've seen with some truly hilarious moments. But if you're already annoyed by one of the characters just from their face, then maybe it's not the show for you. Still, give it a try. Just out of interest, which guy is it that you want to punch? I'm not sure if any of them can be considered 'the main guy'
Rob McElhenny. He moderated a GoT Emmy panel, he tried way too hard to be funny and came across as super annoying and douchey instead.
In my arms, Nilssy! I don't understand It's always sunny. And I tried. It's Always Sunny is too loud and obnoxious. I find crap like Two and a Half Bellends to be a more tolerable watch.
Yup it's a promising start, does have a fair few aspects differing from the book from what's been seen so far but that's to be expected. Hope it doesn't take too long to come out as a full series...Yea, I saw it. Arguably the best TV season out of any show in 2014 IMO. It started a little slow but only got better. The Knick is great
