Television Anyone recommend me any TV Shows?

You had me excited that there was two more episodes. It's done. 10 episodes only for 1883.
I could have sworn when I search wiki the time were spoke it showed 12. But great, I will download it today and get started after the Derby, I figure I will need something to take my mind of the match afterward :nervous:

Related to that, it looks like it will only be one season of this. There is a 1932 that the creator will be looking to do.

I'm watching the Mentalist now on Amazon

Before that I was watching Lie to me on Disney.

Same here, huge Yellowstone fan! Curious to hear what you guys thought of season 4 though? For me it was a massive disappointment, hardy any character development and poor storylines. I read somewhere that Jimmy had more screen time than Kasey!

There's also going to be another spinoff in addition to 1883 called 6666, that's the ranch in Texas where Jimmy was.
Honestly, I didn't see the potential for a spinoff based on the 666. The storylines and characters just weren't juicy enough for a standalone series but they probably want to give Jimmy yet more screen time.

As for your review of Season 4, I think it was a bit disappointing given how Season 3 had ended but it was still a good season.

Yeah... I have the first season downloaded and plan to watch it this week. If 1883 is anything to go by, its likely going to be a slow burner with beautiful shots of scenery.... which will be just fine for me.
Yeah, I’m not sure about the pace of 1883 but YS should be similar, albeit it has a fair few action sequences in YS. But I’d say it’s a slow burner (drama) with great scenery.
:wenger: :nervous:

Did you start yet? I am trying to finish the damn Elden Ring first, then will get stuck in.
Negative. I’m still visiting the missus until the end of this week then I plan on catching up when I’m back home and have more time to kill.

Ah okay, I think I will get into it this week, or latest over the weekend.

Finished Hawkeye. Thought it was not bad but I went into it with low expectations and an open mind so not too disappointed on how it went. Last 2 episodes pretty much saved it from being poor to half decent imo.

I’m hoping Kingpin isn’t really dead, despite it being making you believe Maya shoots him, as would like to see more of him in some of the future MCU films/tv series

Sorry missed you post. I enjoyed it, but yeah there were some aspects that were a bit poorly done, plot wise. I think it ended on a bit of a weird note though as well.
I 100% agree on the frustration of Jimmy getting more screen time thank Kayce. Every time I would be like, why the heck do they keep coming back to Jimmy and he's struggles. I suppose they were trying to set some context for the Four 6's ranch series I suppose, but for me Kayce could have his own spin off.

Overall I'm interested in seeing where it goes to from here with the whole running for Governor side of things.

I'll be starting 1883 this week, and it was interesting in season 4 that it kept showing those little flashbacks they had about that time period, but I didn't quite get fully why they did those flashbacks for the context of season 4, I should probably read up on fan forums or something :wenger:

I started Mr.Robot and now on the final season, excellent show but incredibly weird.

Love this show. There was a period around the middle where I got bored and stopped watching it, but then picked it back up and the last couple of seasons were up there with the best TV I've seen

Any of other recommendations then?

The Drop Out is pretty good. Enjoyable, if a little slow as I have read a book about her, listened to the podcast ahead of, and during the trial. But Amanda Seyfried is incredible. It’s like she puts on her skin. Different voices, plays her at very different ages, and speaks Chinese with conviction.

The After party on Apple plus is really good. It's a limited series murder whodunnit comedy with each episode focused on one of several murder suspects at a party.

What makes it unique is how each episode takes on a different genre based on the personality of the suspect and how they're giving their side of the story. It's good fun
