Just pay the extra €10m and get him.
Zero resale value for them; he’s 30 this season. ‘In his 20’s’ for half a year and a bit. Absolutely not the Ajax model
They just signed some lad to replace Antony, he's obviously meant for a season or so before he's ready for first team but they have a player there already they will probably throw in instead. How so? Won't they need to get in a replacement too
What about Tadic? Huntaleer? How much resale value did those lads have?Zero resale value for them; he’s 30 this season. ‘In his 20’s’ for half a year and a bit. Absolutely not the Ajax model
Yeah, that’s exactly it. <Insert smiley of choice here>
Exactly.. he's not gonna be unhappy for too long with what's at stake for him. It’s the World Cup in a few months Antony will have to knuckle down when the window closes.
Ajax have us by the balls.
We were confident in De Jong as well... until we weren't. Briefing FC.They are confident of reaching an agreement and it’s like this … so what would happen if they were not confident
We may do, but it'll take us few days to prepare and build the confidence backJust pay the extra €10m and get him.
This is not how I see it; he has a storming World Cup and things change dramatically from what they are now. If he is the player some believe, who is on his way to being world class, then that process could be expedited this season if it turns out to his breakout one.Antony is going to leave this summer or next, he's been pretty open about playing at a bigger club.
This summer they will receive a massive amount, more than what the player is worth, next summer it will be less than what United are currently offering and they have to keep an unhappy player for another year.
It's within their best interests to sell him now, go out and buy someone like Gakpo for £50m then rinse us again in a couple of seasons for him, or worst case sell him on for way less in 4 seasons or so.
There's nothing wrong with them re-signing Ziyech, he's not that old and he's probably a better player now than when he left. Whatever they pay for him will be a good deal and there's very little risk of him leaving or not fitting into their system.
Another one bites the dust. Memphis and/or Gakpo it is then.
feck Ajax - although they are probably comparable to United when Ronaldo wanted to join Madrid in '08.
Zero chance of that happening.Ajax will accept €90m on deadline day, they're trying to see how desperate we are.
Still fighting the good fight on his end
I'm really not sure who are the bigger mugs in this messFancy turning down 90m for a player nowhere near worth that. Bonkers.
He will never play for them again. Probably

He could do but the odds of him having a storming world cup in a team with Neymar and other big names are slim. He needs to leave Holland to prove he's world class, the league isn't up to a standard where he'll ever be considered that level no matter how well he does, so therefore always a risk. This is not how I see it; he has a storming World Cup and things change dramatically from what they are now. Your last paragraph simply suits us, not them. It’s a terrible deal for them, objectively speaking.
100m for a player worth about just over half that, give over.
We'll see, he's refusing to play and train. How long can you keep saying he's not for sale when there's €90m sitting on the table?Zero chance of that happening.

Huh. We've made 2 bids, of huge value. And you're still putting this against the club thinking we are slowing down because of a win against Liverpool? What more can he do to push for this move, after not being in the squad last weekend really thought this would get done. Absolute BS if this slowed down just because we beat the scousers.
