WeglopenIf they really did reject that we should walk away. They won’t get a better offer for him than that. Plus they’re going to have a really unhappy player on their hands

After 4 days of talking and preparing it.Rejected within a minute, impressive.
Zero resale value for them; he’s 30 this season. ‘In his 20’s’ for half a year and a bit. Absolutely not the Ajax model"An aged player"? Dude is in his 20s.
Yeah, that’s exactly it. <Insert smiley of choice here>Too much Football Manager makes people look at players in their late 20's as over the hill. Ridiculous really.
Genuinely convinced that people complaining about the price will be proven wrong. More excited by this than I was about the Sancho transfer tbh.
Edit: rejected?! Feck me
Then take a lower amount next season instead, they're the alternatives and still have the same problem.we lose the additional "massive amount" margin on Antony if we immediately have to turn around and pay 20m over the market price on ziyech ourselves.
And not only that, but after agents, Sao Paulo percentage, etc. Ajax will only be left with like 60% of the fee anyway, so it would be like a trade of Ziyech for Antony + €10-15m profit. But then you have added an ageing player, with little resale value and a massive salary to the squad. The difference in salary between a Ziyech and Antony for this season will easily be in the 3-5+ million range, let alone any signing bonuses.
Plus we just signed Conceicao this summer with an eye of taking Antony's place next summer. That plan goes in the bin if we sign Ziyech on a permanent as well.
Any scenario other than Ziyech at a reasonable price (€20-25m) (or ideally even a 1-year loan) just means Ajax immediately lose any benefits of the premium in the United offer, so then why take it?
It’s a World Cup year. I think people really need to put this angle to the side. Brazil>club football for most Brazilians. But what if he doesn’t want to play for them?
It's because it's getting to be late in the window so it will be hard(er) for them to get a replacement in. Especially after their negotiations with Chelsea for Ziyech weren't very successful. But yeah I get why Antony'd be frustrated. 90m for him is a lot. Too much even I'd say. So for Ajax to turn down an amount that big must be disappointing for him.Ajax of course have every right to insist Antony stays at the club. What I'm unclear on at the moment is why they've continually raised the price if the intent to sell was seemingly never there?
Only last week the line was that we weren't meeting their valuation, now it's that he's not for sale at any price. I think Antony would have a right to be frustrated in this situation to be fair.
We paid less for Sancho the second time but more for Maguire because we'd already agreed £50m the season prior then pulled out last minute because Jose didn't like it, and Leicester were tired of being messed about. Antony will 100% cost less next summer than he will this summer, for a start he's refusing to train or play at the moment, how will that affect the team and him during the season? That's just not true. Haven't Sancho, Maguire saga teached us anything? United is that stupid, we will come back next season with bigger offer.
They don't even play in same position. You ain't even talking sense, mate
By that logic, why don't United buy Ziyech for 44m? He's EPL proven right? feck that, We all know Chelsea is taking the piss. No club is stupid enough to pay more than 25m for 30 year olds Ziyech, even United.
It’s the World Cup in a few months Antony will have to knuckle down when the window closes.
Ajax have us by the balls.
Ajax will accept €90m on deadline day, they're trying to see how desperate we are.Interesting choice of words there. €90million is not higher enough.
We're going to need to bid €100million for Antony. I think they'll accept at that price. This is just them rinsing us at this point.
I think there's something like 60% of his image rights are owned by someone else, hence the reason Ajax are trying to get a higher fee for him.Ajax are being right cnuts now

How so? Won't they need to get in a replacement tooAjax will accept €90m on deadline day, they're trying to see how desperate we are.
Even 90m is completely bonkers, but it seems we're absolutely determined to bring him inFor the laugh (I'm keeping this weird typo) of God, don't bid even more than 90. The cnut isn't that fecking good. He scored 15 league goals in 2 seasons of Eredivisie. Even Vincent Janssen would laugh at that.
