Not gonna lie, haven't hoped a deal fell apart more since Maguire. The inability to find alternatives all window is quite worrying.
Madness, I can't wait to sign him.

same here. He will have the crowd off his seat every game.Madness, I can't wait to sign him.
Yeah and he’s so fecking no-nonsense. He gets on with it. He’s not a softy like some of the players these days.same here. He will have the crowd off his seat every game.
The fee will soon be forgotten when he's skinning fullbacks for fun.
We sure are.Surely we aren't thinking of paying £85m???
He's far from ready-made, that's the problem. He's a work in progress player for a premium fee. What tax would you place on a literal ready-made player for the football the manager wants to play?
Knowing our luck, we'll sign him for a ridiculous fee. Completely lock ourselves out of the market for a RW for the next 3 years, and in that time a far bigger talent for a much smaller fee turns up

Yep, Barca never get fleeced.
140m for Couts
100m for Dembele
120m Griezman
60m Raphinia
The list could go on
Admittedly, Barca might not have been the best example.
There is a pattern though.. clubs that are run poorly get fleeced.
How often do City, Bayern, Pool get fleeced?
They just walk away from the deal if it doesn't suit them. We become more desperate for the deal and pay more than the original price.

I didn’t say finished article; I meant a player who the manager doesn’t even have to teach his methods to as he is assimilated already. That’s months of coaching reduced to purely working on improving the player. He's far from ready-made, that's the problem. He's a work in progress player for a premium fee.
What fee would you walk away from this at? If Ajax come back and demand 100m do we keep going?

Why would you want to find an alternative to the manager's number 1 target? Let's stop repeating the same mistakes. Not gonna lie, haven't hoped a deal fell apart more since Maguire. The inability to find alternatives all window is quite worrying.
City - Jack Grealish - £100m, Nathan Ake - £40m, Mangala - £40m
Bayern - Lucas Hernandez - £72m
Liverpool - Andy Carroll £35, Benteke - £40m, Nunez (remains to be seen, but its a lot on one good season) £67.5m
Its far less than us, but it does happen. I think only really City have had it happen more recently with Grealish and Ake.
This is crazy talk.
I haven't been this excited for a signing in a long time.
Antony has Ballon D'or potential. He has all this ability that he is yet to harness. When Ronaldo first joined united he had all these tricks and flicks and only when he harnessed it all did he truly become a machine. Hoping the same for Antony.
Last summer and this summer. Bayern don’t get fleeced because they only seem to buy from their own league, and/or if they have a year left. There is a pattern though.. clubs that are run poorly get fleeced.

Liverpool have the 2nd oldest squad in the league and if you go by what their fans are saying, they need to start replacing a lot of players which are getting on in years or very injury prone. Yet they still signed Nunez and failed to sign a midfielder which they really need. There are big differences in this.
1. Manutd getting fleeced on 70% transfers whilst needing 4/5 signings
2. City only signed Grealish last year, they didn't have to spend it, they just did it for fun.
Obviously Carroll and Benteke was prior to their new set up, even Nunez, signing a player you need to complete your team is different from building the team.
Example. City didnt need to sign other players, we still need 4/5 players, this is the case every year. Every year we need 4/5 signings, every year its a rebuild.

He could get close to 06/07 Ronaldo which was my favourite Ronaldo to watch. Tricks coupled with end product before he just turned into end product without the tricks.Antony won't come anywhere near Ronaldo. Let's hope he outperforms Quaresma.

I don’t know what we’re supposed to do so late in the window, but I blame the club for that and accept we’ve snookered ourselves into a penalty tax situation no matter who we go after, so why not have it be who the manager asked for at the start of summer?

Bayern are very clever in the market. They generally look at players in the last year of their contract and can get them cheap (Mazaroui and Gravenberch e.g.)Last summer and this summer. Bayern don’t get fleeced because they only seem to buy from their own league, and/or if they have a year left.
Not to mention he genuinelly wants to come, he's going on strike to force the move ffs!Yeah and he’s so fecking no-nonsense. He gets on with it. He’s not a softy like some of the players these days.
No but from those examples they paid over the odds for De Ligt, and Mane and Gravenberch both had a year left. Doesn’t really aid your point.De Ligt, Mane, Gravenbach all from Bundesliga?
They still manage to sign the players at good wages and prices, in comparison to us.
Yeah they’re definitely a well run club, it’s for sure deliberate. It’s a luxury you can only really afford when you’re on top though. We’re having to spend because of our situation.Bayern are very clever in the market.
