I wouldn't place any bet on this happening, the gap between what they want and what we would realistically pay is quite high, it would be Maguire level overpaying.
One thing is that his former club gets 20% over any fee above 15 million euro's I believe.
So Ajax is going to add a premium over his fee, and yes Ajax really doesn't want him to leave.
He will transfer next year.
We have a 20 year old Uruguayan international surely he's decent enough to be Sancho backup?
I'm not as confident in this one as I was, still a chance late in the window. But the money being spoken about is totally obscene for him.

What was the point of him and Amad then, when you buy players that young its because you see high potential even if they're raw.He really isn’t. He’s no better than what we could pick up in the Championship.
Rumours are he was the one who was late to a meeting and got punished for it by getting dropped in the matches.Chong was preferred to him on tour, don't think Ten Hag rates him.
We scored more as a team before Ronaldo came back, and we´ll score more when he leaves.and who is magically going to score all those goals? we've been there before with Rashford and (more particularly) Martial: he was very poor last season when you'd think he was playing for his future
We scored more as a team before Ronaldo came back, and we´ll score more when he leaves.
He demands every attack ends with him and he is simply not good enough anymore to be that guy.
And no, noone can predict anything but I´d put money on Martial (or a new striker) doing at least as good if given the chance in Ten Hags system. Pre season means shit, but it does look like Martials is giving a shit again.
I would say with him and Frenkie in, that would make it one of the best windows we’ve ever had.If United pays the 80m euros, yes
What was the point of him and Amad then, when you buy players that young its because you see high potential even if they're raw.
So you develop this potential into proper footballers, are you saying they both have low ceilings?
My goodness. Maybe it had something to do with the abysmal coaching? The loss of morale? The lack of clear leadership? The squad having trouble makers? The shite press around every moment? I think it was less Ronaldo and more a systemic collapse. We saw it on tour with even someone like Dalot. We didn't see any of his dumb crosses in preseason. He played to his strengths and looked miles better in attack than he did last season when he tried to end almost every attack by crossing to Ronaldo.
Game over
Did you read the post? In particular the part about letting the player play then making the decision. So we were pretty right when we paid 80m pounds for Maguire as well?
We'll never reach the height City and Liverpool are by relying on one forward upfront, we must play as a team, score, create and defend as one.We saw it on tour with even someone like Dalot. We didn't see any of his dumb crosses in preseason. He played to his strengths and looked miles better in attack than he did last season when he tried to end almost every attack by crossing to Ronaldo.
If my maths is correct, if you want to keep a certain figure in your pocket, the total transfer fee will have to be more.Sounds good but means the more money you get the more São Paulo get. So it makes no difference, they’ll still be getting cut out.
Surely, he's not scored than many for usDidn't realize he was that much more productive on the left! That includes his United minutes and Dortmund?
Not a viable deal. Anything over 80m euros is robbery and we should look elsewhere. Ajax have the right to hold firm.If my maths is correct, if you want to keep a certain figure in your pocket, the total transfer fee will have to be more.
Let's say Ajax wants to keep 60 million euro's, Ajax will then want you to pay about 10 million euro's additional.
I always liked Neto at wolves, can play both flanks. There are other wingers out there if we’re that desperate. 80-100m is pretty wild. Antony is no great white buffalo like Frenkie is.
Pretty much agreed yes. If he was the only hole in our team, I'd be up for it, I think he's amazing. But there is more work to do.Not a viable deal. Anything over 80m euros is robbery and we should look elsewhere. Ajax have the right to hold firm.
Then why does he consistently get picked for Uruguay? Can’t be that bad. Swear posters consistently down play a footballers ability for no reason whatsoeverHe really isn’t. He’s no better than what we could pick up in the Championship.
Because they have a lot of money from transfers this window, so they can put a high amount on his transfer. Next summer, his price will be much less.
That's the point, Maguire not in any case scenario would have been worth the 80m pounds we paid for him. I admit I wanted Maguire and felt he would have been a good signing, I still think he is a good player, but the decision makers and those who are paid to supervise the sporting project of Manchester United football club should have known that 80m pounds for Maguire was lunacy. Same as paying 100m for Antony and 60m for Martinez.Did you read the post? In particular the part about letting the player play then making the decision.
Not sure what relevance Maguire has as after seeing him play for us it’s clear he wasn’t worth the money we paid. It could all go to shite for Martinez &/or Antony but saying ‘he’s not worth more than €40million’ when in no deal will he go for anything near that is stupid. By all means offer €40mil for him tops, you aren’t getting the player though.
100m is stupid.Gravenberg only had 1 year contract left, Antony 3 I believe. Then, there was a nasty trend goung on at Ajax, mainly related to agent Raiola, where young players stretch there contracts to be able to leave on a free. That was also about to happen with Gravenberg and as Ajax already suffered a lost a huge amount of money on transferred fees that way, they chose to let him go. And Ajax doesn’t get a truckload of cash from tv-rights as they do in the PL.
Besides that, Gravenberg was by far not as performant as Antony even though he has a shitload of talent.
getting 60m euros for him will put them in the front seat to buy who ever they want in Holland to challenge in the league again. Its not like they will Challenge for the CL.He's under contract they can do whatever they want they have to consider their own situation. They're challenging for the league as well as participating in the UCL. They've lost their manager and about 4 starters.
I cant see anything in Amad if i am honest. He didnt do it at Rangers who are a top championship low premiership comparison. He didnt show up on the tour when he played. Iqbal and Savage did for example. Pellestri wasnt even given a chance on tour and I can see these sold or let go once their contracts endWhat was the point of him and Amad then, when you buy players that young its because you see high potential even if they're raw.
So you develop this potential into proper footballers, are you saying they both have low ceilings?
Consistently ? Bit of a stretch, the reason is he isn’t good enough, fairly big reasonThen why does he consistently get picked for Uruguay? Can’t be that bad. Swear posters consistently down play a footballers ability for no reason whatsoever

Yep, if Antony wants the move and is determined to get his “dream” move, he will have to push for it.The price will obviously fall
But it's going to take the player demanding the move, like Martinez did.
Ajax can't buy a player of similar quality, because who wants to play in the Eredivisie? Bergwijn luckily is Dutch, and a former academy player but Ajax would need to develop another talent, which takes time.getting 60m euros for him will put them in the front seat to buy who ever they want in Holland to challenge in the league again. Its not like they will Challenge for the CL.
I think your setting your self up for disappointment, there is no guarantee we’ll get either of them, let alone both. Didn’t we say the same last season about CR7, Sancho, Raphael Varane. There is no guarantees either will be a huge success in the PL, I’m just not into the same bs on transfers sagas that we get into every season only to be ultimately disappointed when they don’t happen or hugely disappointed when they do like Alexis Sanchez, P Pogba, DVB, H Maguire, A Di Maria and never ever live up to the hype.I would say with him and Frenkie in, that would make it one of the best windows we’ve ever had.
