Anything over €40m and you are overpaying. We already overpaid for Martinez.

No he is not!40 million euros would get you Jack Harrison, Antony is a full Brazil International and worth about 60 million quid.
He cost us £50m from the Ukrainian leagueNo he is not!
Fred is a full international as well
No he is not!
Fred is a full international as well
Why is he so expensive though? We were never getting him for that fee
People really do think it’s FM where you can backload contracts with millions in goal bonuses that will never be realised.Anything over €40m and you are overpaying. We already overpaid for Martinez.
He had a year left with no intention of a renewal & only wanted to go to Bayern. Equating transfers is futile. Why is he so expensive though?
Or rather, how could Bayern get Gravenberch so cheap while we have to pay an arm and a leg for any Ajax player? Was his contract expiring, or... what?

So a full Brazilian international means anyone has to pay at least €60m for him? Do you think anyone would offer €60m for Fred? At least Raphinha proved himself a hit in the premier league.40 million euros would get you Jack Harrison, Antony is a full Brazil International and worth about 60 million quid.
Is he the Brazilian Robben?
At least Antony proved himself in the Champions League. Antony is 3 yrs younger than Raphinha and has nearly the same record for the Brazil NT. If anything Antony > Raphinha. So a full Brazilian international means anyone has to pay at least €60m for him? Do you think anyone would offer €60m for Fred? One was a free transfer and the other had a year left.
Just read 110 pages of this thread and you can find the answer about 15 times. The crybaby behaviour of some United fans regarding United tax is so pathetic it really gives Uniteds fanbase a poor image.
You sound like small club fans crying about United getting all the refs in its favour. It's pathetic.
Could become one, but his shooting is not near as precise and consistent though. Don't get me wrong, his shooting is fine and very good at times, but Robben would just precisely curl them into the far corner time after time. Antony isn't there yet with his shooting. I do think he has the potential though. His shooting technique is there, his crosses are very dangerous, he's fast and he has the dribbles. He has more skills than Robben as well, but Robben didn't really need crazy skills to be very effective.
Yeah, you get the feeling that Bayern do their homework way way before they actually get their players. I won't be surprised if they timed it so they could get their targets when their contracts are running down. Maybe they'd put in some words to their agents through some intermediary to gauge the players' willingness to move etc etc. You know, the way a properly run club does things.
Us, on the other hand, are the equivalent of that guy who only seems to realise the exam's tomorrow and have to cram everything overnight. Hell, that's how Ole got the job in the first place. We sacked Jose without knowing who to get next, got him to be caretaker and then decided to get Ole a permanent deal, because the guy did well off the new manager bounce and we had no other managers in mind to take over. The shit show with Ralf Rangnick's consultation role is further evidence that the people in charge make things up as they go along.
What you smoking bro?Anything over €40m and you are overpaying. We already overpaid for Martinez.
IMO it's the budget and the talk of "Frenkie or bust" when it comes to midfield. Like if we get Frenkie then I don't see us meeting Ajax's ridiculous asking price, but if we miss on Frenkie then we'll reach for Antony to salvage the window, essentially. I think we can easily pass 120m but I don't think passing 200m spend is doableCan’t see how our pursuits of Antony and De Jong are intertwined. ‘Midfield and forward’ is what we want. Unless of course you believe the aggressive promoting that we have 120m to spend of course, which I never did for a minute.
If we fail to get De Jong we will buy another midfielder.
I agree with you... But I wouldn't say raphina has "proved himself" in the epl... Well hasn't proved to be a 60 million euro player especially if you're just looking at stats like u just did with Antony
Fast forward to 3:35
Only time will tell if we overpaid. He might become bedrock of team and lead team to successful trophies.Anything over €40m and you are overpaying. We already overpaid for Martinez.
I think they were happy to sell Haller, which opens up the possibility of giving Brobbey more game time.Make sense. Ajax just lost their main striker, CM, CB, RB, and on top of that, their manager. They'll be very reluctant to sell another key player, unless the offer is too good to refuse; which is how that ridiculous 80m valuation coming from.
Yep, and with that they set a feck off price that ended up being met. Can't see us meeting 2 feck off valuations from the same club tbhI think they were happy to sell Haller, which opens up the possibility of giving Brobbey more game time.
Mazraoui and Gravenberch had either run their contract down (Mazraoui) or were coming into the last year of their contract in Gravenberch's case. And Bayern took advantage because they're a club with a defined play style and a strategy, which both players were a potential fit for. And they had been working on those deals a long time before ten Hag was even appointed United head coach. I think Solskjaer was still manager when Bayern were working on those two deals from what I've read.
I remember reading a article from Mike Verweij in May, where he said that Ajax wouldn't sell Antony for less than €70m/€80m. I think if the price was lower, we'd have signed him by now.
The only departure they didn't account for thus far, is the departure of Martinez.
No I didn't.You mean to say, one club plans and targets ahead - the other is always paying into a seller market. Got it.
Anthony and Sancho would be 2 great wingers for United.
Throw in FDJ and United have width that will hurt teams with switches of play. Then United just need the full backs to underlap and I think United will be frightening, which is why I think a RB is an essential piece.
Ronaldo will get 30+ goals if he stays next season.
Good that he's back on the pitch. However he's been quite average to be honest. However this is completely normal since he hasn't played in 4 months. He obviously lacks rhytm.
Why would they sell him for 40m? That would be a steal. Worth at least 60…Anything over €40m and you are overpaying. We already overpaid for Martinez.
100%, We need to try and keep Ronaldo and add Antony aswell… Antony and sancho creating for Ronaldo will = in him getting 30+ goals this season. That's what's annoying about the rumours that it's Cristiano or Antony. Adding a winger who doesn't score much but creates well makes a ton more sense if we have a poacher who has scored the most headed goals in Europe over the last decade or whatever the stat is.
If Cristiano leaves, I'm not sure paying a ton for Antony makes sense unless we're bringing in a lethal, probably selfish, goal scorer rather than looking for a more balanced attack.
