It's like the Evra syndrome when he had no one really challenging his position.Valencia needs to be reminded that a bad performance can get you on the bench, when the Nani situation was better it made Valencia play out of his skin because you'd never know with SAF, he may start with Nani on the right in the next match

I felt he's lost a yard of pace, he doesn't take on the fullbacks, where's the Valencia that used to tear Ashley Cole for fun ?

Though he has been double teamed, its he's own fault for taking too many touches, he just needs to boom, run accelerate cross which is his game that is deemed world class. Stop with this passing back, zombie motion wing play.

He's quick as feck, he's showed it a couple times with blistering breaks this season.

He's just lost all of his confidence.

With Nani no longer a contention we need another winger. Valencia just can not cross and Young well might as well play Centre midfield.

Has been very poor for a few weeks. Hopefully he returns to his normal self, especially if we're not going to get a deal done with Nani.

You mark him right and deny him space and he's got feck all, no skill, no left peg. Has one move which is very very good if you allow him the space to use it.

Been better than Young.

Not really. Young had a decent effort at goal the first half and put over a lovely pass when RVP misjudged the shot and missed the ball completely. Valencia was far worse than young today.

Stop starting him ffs, or young. None of our wingers are in form. Can't wait to have kagawa and nani back

Another shocking performance

Didn't track back for the goal. He's becoming a liability.

Even at his productive best, he has only two types of crosses: the drive across the box and the chip to the back post. Might work playing for Wigan, but not at United.

Valencia being crap lately can only be blamed on with thing.

Nani

His crossing is shockingly poor, the fact he is so one dimensional makes it even worse.

In taking as long as he was to put the ball into the box he took away the one thing that could have possibly made him difficult to defend.

Just show him onto his left and let him pass backwards. Rinse and repeat for 90 minutes.

Infuriatingly predictable at the moment and hes better than that.

Drop him for the QPR game, will be interesting to see if he will be getting it just as Nani does after every bad game for us.

Really out of form at the moment and honestly if he's not taking on his man and putting in a decent ball, what is he bringing to the table? He's not even covering well at the moment. The other thing is atm both he and Young are so reliant on others creating space for them particularly the fullbacks. Tbf though was surprised Fergie took him off, hopefully he'll get dropped for a bit to give him a wake up call.

That's his problem: when he's not putting in good delivery or taking on his man, he really is limited. With other players, Rooney being an example, they may not be at their best but they still offer something: goals in his case last season at times when he wasn't playing well. With Valencia though, he's the sort of player who offers next to nothing when his key attributes aren't there.

There was not a single redeeming factor about his play today. Even more angry with him than I would be for his poor attacking play because he didn't get back to help Rafa out when the cross that led to Norwich's goal was about to be played. At the moment he doesn't deserve his place in the team but I'm sure he'll get picked to play next week.

The funniest was when Rafael won the ball off the opposition player out wide and deep in their half and it came to Valencia who for some reason decided to slow play down take the ball and come deeper and start attacking a well positioned defence instead of one that had been caught out having lost the ball.

Young in the short time he was on the right was more of a threat than Valencia the entire match.
