Not a hope he is coming here, the whole point of Deschamps joke was that by saying “he is staying......in spain” he didn’t narrow it down for all the supporters and journalists in Spain who think its a straight shoot out between his current employers and Barca, and to be honest I don’t think I could control my urge to vomit when I’d seem him and Pogba and “JLingz” doing some stupid dance on instagram if he actually came here!!
I followed all his comments. He is pretty confident about the information, just like some poster was last summer. He is just defending himself from the stick he is getting. He wouldn't supposed to know if AG changed his mind yet again after having a glance at the 400k per week contract given to him by Atletico.

5 seasons? Hell no, Bale’s done in three seasons tops. He is one hell of a player, but he relies so much on pace and being explosive. His muscles are super prone to getting tears as his injury record proves, over time it’s going to take away 20% of his pace and that’s him done. And the injuries, it gets worse when he gets older - once they are there, they come back more easily.

I don't understand why some are so pissed off though. Why does what he is doing now make people so upset? I can understand if they are Atletico fans, but United fans should have no reason to be upset. So if in the off-chance he joins us, some fans will already be upset with him?

I'd like him to come but the lack of any leakage of news suggest to me he is either stalling in hope of a renewed extra bonus from Madrid, or he is wanting to bury the unpopular news of his moving to Barcelona in the general hubbub of world cup fever.
He will want to avoid the sort of abuse Figo got, but I don't know if this would seen as such a controversial move as that one was, given the added Catalan dimension. The only thing keeping me positive at all about him possibly coming to us is the notion that this delayed "announcement" is to do with the wording of his release clause / contractual agreements. Sadly my muppet juices are starting to dry up on this one though.

Think he would have liked him. Similar to Anderson, good for team morale and helps keep things fun. Only Griezmann is also a top class player too.

Obviously Bale's pace and explosiveness are important and take him to the next level of being one of the truly best players in the world, but he's much more skillful than he seems to get given credit for. Even when he loses some of his pace I expect him to still be a very good player as long as he is able to modify his game (and I don't see any reason he wouldn't).
If he is coming to us, I think that will be the case. His clause only drops to 100m on July 1st, so if we were involved and want him to be able to announce it before 16 June, a lot of work has to be going to behind the scenes like maybe how we can pay 100m euros or so instead of waiting till July, so that he can announce where he is going ASAP. He cannot possibly say it if the deal is still a ways off.
