My impression of that was simply light hearted poking fun at people having "inside info".

Bale is the club's no1 target this summer, 100% and like most United Fans, I've been told by club insiders who work in the Club Shop that Bale has been coming for the last 3 seasons only to be disappointed but this year it genuinely seems to be on.
I'm not sure that if United are now being linked indirectly with Griezmann, this is more likely to force the Bale deal along with Woodward telling Bales agent, we can only do one or the other maquee transfer at £100M, when in all honesty we are really not in for Griezmann.
That would only leave us with 55 to 65M left in the transfer kitty after buying either Griezman or Bale to buy a CB, LB and AMF player so we would probably not have enough funds to replace the Left back during this window.
