Well, for ordinary people who don't inform themselves about football too much, you are right. I for one will celebrate his move to us like i hadn't celebrated a transfer since Ronaldo joined the club....for me he is 5 times worth as much as Pogba, at least on the pitch - some personal bias included

I'm seeing a lot of fanciful formations around Greizman's position in the team. I have no doubt Jose will stick to 433, given that it gets the best out of our midfield trio, especially Pogba. Greizman will either play up top, or come off the right. I remember he did a similar thing with Etoo at Inter, where he came off the right, so that's an option. Cant see him playing no10, and pushing Pogba back.

Sky are wanking themselves into a coma over this already and feck all's happened, he earned me a score at the euros for top scorer so I approve of this transfer.
With signings like Griezmann United will challenege for the CL very soon, hopefully already next season. Jose's signings are quality and even if he somehow fails to win a big trophey with United his successor will have the squad to do it. Top work.
Our aim should really be to get back to where we were in 2008 to 2009, when our team was superior to Real, Barca and Bayern, before sales/retirements of world class players were not adequately replaced. Buying in world class players is the only way to do that, no more buying cheap players and hoping they do a job for us. This will take Jose a few more windows to achieve (the 2008/9 team was full of world class players), but our new approach to transfers gives me confidence that we'll get there, which is why i'm not overly concerned about liverpool or spurs' current level of performance, in the long term they wont be able to keep up with us.
Not to derail the thread but I don't think we have the midfield or defence for that yet.
I hope you're right and that he's at United Quickly. I have a feeling another club will steam in for him just as we are about to get him.

It's possible we might retain the 433 but rotate Ibra with Antoine to keep him fit throughout the season. Antoine isn't as strong or big as Zlatan of course, but what he lacks in strength and size he makes up for in technique, he can link up play. To get the most out of this we'd need wide players who make runs in behind though, Martial etc would need to improve that part of his game.
TBH, we havent actually utilised Zlatan's height or strength much this season, the ball mostly goes to his feet, which gives me confidence that Greizman would play up front. If Aguero and Defoe can carve out careers as small no9's in this league, i dont see why Greizman cant given he's no less talented, and plays for a Simeone team.

If Griezmann does come to MUFC and the transfer fee is a record, then the Pogba thread will most likely be beaten.

His release clause is lower than Pogba's fee so it wouldnt be a record.
Hate to admit it, but i think Simeone leaves Madrid this summer and Griezmann follows him to whatever club
