Their was a statistic about that the other day. The transfer with fans buying the shirt with the player rumoured to move increase by 22% if the shirt gets bought before the transfer gets concluded. I guess there is a significant correlation.

Probably because there is nothing really going on in terms of transfers that involves us since the Pedro farce but the Muppets still need their fix thus any tweet about a player is a welcome possibility to claim it's ON and the other half is probably just in it for the lulz.
