Martial is. Rashford will probably makeway for Ibrahimovic if Mourinho comes in.I'd say it puts pressure on Memphis, Lingard and Mata depending where you play him. Rashord and Martial are certain starters to me.

He is a second striker. That puts him in direct competition with Rooney imo unless Rooney moves into midfield. He is some player. His close control is brilliant. Where would we play him though?

So that would leave us back to a 4-4-2 variation. Would that work in the PL nowadays. Only team I can think of that plays with that Watford. He is a second striker. That puts him in direct competition with Rooney imo unless Rooney moves into midfield.

you cant seriously say that after Leicester have won the league playing 4-4-2 . I dont want us to play 4-4-2 but it has been shown this season it still works. So that would leave us back to a 4-4-2 variation. Would that work in the PL nowadays. Only team I can think of that plays with that Watford.

How is he unobtainable? Yes it'll cost a lot of money, but maybe he's fed up of playing hunt the chicken instead of football, and isn't he and his brother supposedly Utd fans?
I am not sure if he is unobtainable, but we need to make contact and find out the situation. Not let the player string us along. Set a deadline and then if a negotiating a new contract tactic, move on. That is where we have been going wrong.
Griezmann would add so much to the team then it would probably be worth the risk. Saying that, he could probably play comfortably as a #10 as well, making it a 4-2-3-1. As long as he is centrally and fit to attack the box. I would sign a Kante type player to sit in front of the back four and have Schneiderlin running around breaking up play.He works very hard. Defensively an iteration of 4-4-2 with him as the second striker is sound. Granted, Simeons often plays centre midfielders on the wings in big matches, so there's that.
No chance at the moment, he will give the CL a shot, they might not be in it next season and we might be. Levy will likely try to rinse some team abroad to sell him.I was referring to Kane who definitely isn't leaving Spurs for us in our current situation.

Play him as lone striker( who can drift in from wide areas) and Ibrahimovic behind him, but we still need some one for our right wing.
Getting him and Ibra would confine Rooney to MF or bench.
Joao Mario
El Confidencial are reliable.
Signing Griezmann puts pressure on Rashford? It does the opposite
Balague has said he is open to offers but is in no hurry to leave. They are only saying we are willing to splash cash on him, not that he is interested.
Two specialist box to box midfielders without a single assist between them behind essentially 3 strikers is complimentary how?only if you believe sanches is an overrated player that doesnt have any talent, if however you recognise him as someone whos powerful, strong, energetic and quick with a strong technical game to boot, then that midfield paring looks very complementary

Tbh if they win the CL then what else can he achieve there? Maybe he wants a new challenge and to experience a new league, he's been in Spain for a good few season now.
People say I'm talking shite but if Rooney is pushed out the door and on to a plane to China for 60 mil then we can throw what ever is needed at them to get this done.
Yes but CL is the pinnacle. Its what they're after since their losing effort in the final a few years ago. If they win the CL beating Real in the process then that is it imo. Simeone and that side have achieved the maximum that they can.La Liga
I doubt it, if Ibra comes. Not upfront, at least.Or another established striker. Rashford won't be first choice and tbh he shouldn't be, he will get plenty of games as no2

Come on - there's no way Griezeman is coming to United - he'll be able to go to any of the big Champions League teams
I couldn't see him coming unless we offer huge wages.

He might also wonder if this is sustainable. Pep has been accused of running his team too hard and burning them out after a while but his style of effort has nothing on Simeone. Maybe they are nearing the drop off point? Will he be worth as much if Atletico fail to replicate their achievements next year?
This will all be taken into consideration imo.
Griezmann is a long standing United fan, if we pay his release clause and dont feck about we actually would have a chance of signing him
Erm, no. I don't think he'll play every game. That doesn't mean there will be "plenty of games" for Rashford. Ibra will play at least 30-35 games, in my opinion. I could be wrong of course, just doesn't strike me as someone who likes to be rotated. And Rooney will certainly get some games upfront, as well. Probably Martial, too. Doesn't leave a whole lot for Marcus. You think Ibra is going to play 50+ games with the intensity of the PL plus Europa league Thursdays?

Really? Source?
Even if he doesn't, there would be, what - 10-15 games in which Rashford would start? Probably 2 or 3 consecutive, at most. This is where we disagree.

Being a fan is hardly decisive these days, certainly didn't stop Ramsey from signing for Le Arse over us all those years ago
