Please tell me no one has posted this before me. He scores so many headed goals!
I'm sure I'll love his celebration even though it looks stupid to me.

Class if he comes, but I think Fabinho will be even more important, not to mention more satisfying as half of Europe wants him.
Work on that some more.
Bigger club
Who won more again this year
Joining trophy magnets jose and poggy and go
Simples
They're not contenders for anything LOL.
The squad is going down and Simeone is going to leave after maximum one year. They have no future for him to remain.
They've won two trophies in the last 10+ years and he wasn't there for either of them. I know that's double what your lot has won so it might seem like a lot but he can definitely increase his chances of winning elsewhere.
Salty much ? Oh well, at least you got Solanke.
Last 2 seasons Man United have 3 trophies and Atletico have feck all.
Going from Atletico to United is never a step down.
We have overtaken LFC now in terms of silverware.
We're more likely to win the Premier League than Atletico are to win the La Liga. Admittedly they have a higher chance of winning the CL at this point in time, but there were signs this year that Atletico are perhaps starting to slide whereas we, at least in theory, should be on the way up.
Agree with this. They've done an excellent job over the last decade or so, especially in the goalkeeper and striker positions.
Embargo?Got a sneaking feeling the journos are waiting until the 10pm embargo to break the Griezmann to United story. Should start seeing headlines around then.

Get your muppet on...
PS. That's the hairstyle that suits him

So salty. If he says he wants to leave because of trophies I'm gonna be pissed lol.
Athletico are Champions League and La Liga contenders year in year out, so unless he leaves to going Real, Bayern or Barcelona it's a step down.
Feel or Atletico, they've lost a lot of their good players over the years, haven't done a bad job in replacing them mind you. Their scouts and youth system is top notch
So salty.
He should go to Liverpool and win the 4th place trophy.
We've won 3 trophies in the last 374 days.If he says he wants to leave because of trophies I'm gonna be pissed lol.

Why would he need to tell them he wants to leave when he has a release clause?
Because it's the decent thing to do? Surely he won't just leave without telling them his intentions first so they can plan accordingly. Why would he need to tell them he wants to leave when he has a release clause?
For ethic issues ? I mean they're his club after all. He can't say to them " feck you you damn mattresses I'm going to leave with the release clause "
You mistake me. Griezemann asking to leave to me doesn't sound like a normal release clause does it? Why does he need to ask, when he can just say I will be leaving when United bid my clause?Because it's the decent thing to do? Surely he won't just leave without telling them his intentions first so they can plan accordingly.
I don't think you're over-rating them as a team. They have been fantastic over the last few years. In just about any other league they almost certainly would have won the league a couple of times, and it would probably be fair to say that they've been the third or fourth best team in the world for the last few seasons. The problem is that they have both Barca and Real ahead of them. One of those teams having an off-season is possible, but both at the same time is unlikely. Especially as, like I said, there have been signs this season that Atletico might be coming to the end of their 'golden patch'.Thoughtful post MadDogg,
Maybe I'm overrating Atleticos success, on the European front they seem to be doing alright at least. Pretty sure they're in the semis most years. Domestically they'll struggle to win La Liga over Barcelona or Real.
Moving to United will most certainly grant him domestic success, he can be sure to win the premier league title a few times if he's there long enough.
But on the European front I think remaining at Atletico is a better option. It's a trade off I guess. Maybe I was overstating their success.
2 trophies in the last 10 years is a bit surprising, seems like they reached a new level in recent years. How long ago was it when they last one La Liga? Seems like it wasn't long but now I'm thinking maybe I'm recalling it wrong.
Time flies....
Are they gonna triple his wage in the next 2-3 years ? I don't think so.Atletico have won
1 Liga title (2014)
1 copa del rey (2013)
2 Europa League (2010 & 2012)
2 European Super cups (2010 & 2012)
1 Spanish super cup (2014)
In the last 7 years. Not to mention desperately unlucky in two finals and very nearly won the league again in 2016. Great manager, who may or may not stay. Increased revenue from new stadium, finally a club that doesn't need to sell, a great scouting and recruiting record and in a great city.
There's plenty of reason to stay there, but obviously tons of reasons to want to try your luck at United. Atletico are not doomed by any means.
It hurts, doesn't it?Comeon Bayern / PSG, save us.
The payment has to go via him I think. He's probably giving them notice of what's going to be happening. You mistake me. Griezemann asking to leave to me doesn't sound like a normal release clause does it? Why does he need to ask, when he can just say I will be leaving when United bid my clause?

Yeh that definitely won't have every football fan taking the piss out of us.
Lets add the dance while we are at it

fair dos.He informed them he wanted to leave this summer so if us or another club paid the release clause, it will be all known to the club, not him running away to another team using the release clause. I don't find a problem in this.
While Atletico are much better than us, Griezmann hasn't ever won any trophy. We won in the last 2 seasons Europa League, Fa Cup and Carling Cup, which while it isn't that much, is more than Atletico. I also would expect that we will win more trophies than them in the last 5 years. They can be really great, but going against Real and Barca ain't fun.If he says he wants to leave because of trophies I'm gonna be pissed lol.

Is he genuinely one of the best players in the world? Will he have a big impact as in lifting our whole team? like how Aguero does for city for instance. I Know he is good but how good?
The payment has to go via him I think. He's probably giving them notice of what's going to be happening.
Manchester is a beautiful place. If you can't handle rain you're nothing but a shit house.Going from city of Madrid to rainy Manchester though..
no offense
3rd in the last Ballon Dor awards tells you how good he is
He hasn't exactly single handily propelled Atletico to greatness but in a league that contains Real and Barca that's hardly a slight on him, he was however the biggest reason for Frances trip to the Euro finals

Very good!♬♬Griez me, Griez me, Griez me baby,
With your ball control.
Griez me with your goals until I lose control,
Take all my muppeting soul.♬♬

I agree, I'm from NYC and have high standards when I visit places and I think Manchester is nice. Great Chinese food (Wings) and nice areas to live like Alderly Edge. Isn't there also Selfridge's so Greizmann can shop?A little bit out of topic maybe but what's with Manchester? I visited last year and absolutely loved it. Peaceful and a very nice city I think.
