what a great opportunity to nerf the silva deal by getting this done soon

I'm now even more convinced he's coming.

don't worry peeps. This is just how it is with us and transfers. This is part of the cycle. He will be here by June.
You were right about Pogba so I believe you this time too. :)

Muppet bloodbath is a soft porn thing. With wolverine like regeneration skills you'll all be up with 'cocks out' shouts in two days time.

This thread is going to be like a level of Lemmings. Only a few will make it to the end.

I still think he's ours.

Mattress covers used to be red & white which are the team colors and the nickname stuck for Pathetico

Yes you're correct just done a search and Atletico is known as "Los Colchoneros" which translates to mattress makers. Pretty interesting reading up on it! Apparently they used mattresses from local factories for shirts as they couldn't afford football kits.

To me put in the context of Griezmann's tweet he is simply saying nothing is done yet, and I'm still an Atletico player for now until I speak with my advisors. Damage limitation perhaps?

Woodward has his own Particular style of doing things. He loves a payment plan  expect this to be done by June. Greizmann like pogba is pandering to his fans.

If di Marzio says its on... it's fooking on

This thread has turned from discussing Griezmann transfer to discussing mattresses and what does it mean. Brilliant.

Has di Marzio said something?

Why would he even come out and say this though? Seems so unnecessary.

If DDG came out and said the stuff that Griezmann did, wouldn't you expect him to get a lot of abuse? Not just on here necessarily but especially on social media he would get a massive backlash. Atletico fans or "Los Colchoneros" as I now know them by cannot be happy with his statements. It has to be damage limitation on his part. That's how I've interpreted it anyway. Otherwise he is just digging himself into a really big hole.

He would have known that before he made the comments though. Maybe he's not as confident anymore?

Okay this well known Madrid based French journo offers encouragement:

Many people are wrong to translate Griezmann tweet. It does not say "I am always mattress" but "still I am mattress".

If we are buying a mattress, good idea to check in Harvey's first; they always have discounts.

Can't believe people have gotten angry and turned on him. He probably has been instructed by his agent to put that. At the end of the day he has to show respect to Atletico who have treat him well for the last few years. It won't change anything in the grand scheme of things.

And the mattress thing is an old nickname of Atletico, the mattress makers.

If he is going to discuss his future with his adviser(s), then that is good news I think
His adviser was unsure about United because they may have not been playing in the Champions League, which he stated was important for his client(That would explain the 6/10 before the final)
He also mentions that there is no chance he is going to Real Madrid.. Something Griezmann confirmed in that interview
https://www.theguardian.com/footbal...-griezmann-manchester-united-champions-league

Also his image adviser claimed earlier that a move to Old Trafford would be ideal

Has he actually denied the transfer?
