Have just seen that our bid of £43M has been accepted. £43M for a teenager???????! God almighty that can't be right?!!!!

For this money, surely would have been better spending a bit more and getting Griezemann?! What the hell is United playing at:confused:

Fake mail account. We bid 50m euros according to the french media outlet which is £36m

Griezmann's clause is 80m euros and it's too late to activate it.

50M Euro is the rumour doing the rounds, which would be £36-37m. The transfer market is inflated, add United tax and a bit more for being so late in the window and it makes more sense then.

Transfer figures are so over inflated nowadays it's part and parcel of the game. We are one of it not the most powerful clubs commercially in terms of income, it's about time we blew other clubs out the water and get who we want.

B is for Bottom Half. P is for Premiership. Which is where you currently are.

So with less than 2 days to go before the window shuts - and having finally twigged that Muller, Kane etc won't be arriving - you wouldn't regard 50m euros for a 19 year-old kid as a panic buy?

Oh ok, didn't realise it was a fake account.

Even £36M is too much but nearly £50M would have been madness.

I do not know if it has been mentioned yet but, he has been called up to France's senior team for their matches against Portugal and Serbia.

I've never ever seen him play. I know he's highly rated alright but the money being branded about sounds insane. Has he got the potential to match the fee? Also is there anything in these rumours? @kouroux @Gerrard in Istanbul

The fee is way too high, Martial is a very good talent, he has got good dribbling skills and linking up with his teammates. He lacks (understandably so due to his age) killer instinct in front of goal. Many Lyon fans regret his departure from their club, they feel he would have been great with Fekir and Lacazette. He's done so well in the second half of last season and so far this season that Deschamps called him up for the national team.

We paid close to that for Rooney more than 10 years ago and we never looked back. In today's market players are moving for 20m between mid-table clubs.

With him throwing a temper tantrum when he isn't allowed to join Real Madrid in 6 years and the Blatter accusing us of slavery?

They will all end up at Real or Barca eventually, so lets not sign anyone talented then.

That's basically subjective. If we can afford it, and our scouts believe he is worth the money, and our management believe he will improve the team, then no, it's not a panic guy.

But what is a fact is that Spurs are in the bottom half of the table, so I have no idea why you feel you have anything to be cocky about.

As long as we do not expect him to carry us from the get go why not? It never hurts having one of the best young players in Europe even if he comes with a big fee. He would add depth to the striker and winger position which we desperately need now.

Cheers. I see he's just been called up to the France squad alright. Fekir looks quality, I've seen a bit of him and he looks really talented; he got a hat trick this weekend? I hear Lacazette isn't having the best of times and some fans have turned on him? Seems odd.

Monaco 0 - 0 PSG right now at half time. He's playing as the lone striker and has looked bright. Extremely quick and direct, but is hardly seeing the ball because PSG are starving them of possession & completely dominating. He looks very promising though. People in France call him the next Henry, but I don't think they're that alike. Funnily enough, he reminds me a lot of a younger Pato, but isn't as developed a finisher at the moment. Very direct, but not as silky on the ball as Henry.

I would love him here, and I imagine Monaco would find it very hard to turn down 50m euros for him (whether or not that is a fair price, of course).

Surely if this bid is legit, Monaco will have to accept it? Can they really be saying no to a bid like this?
