After watching us do the exact same thing with Di Maria and Van Persie do you really have to wonder?Either way don't see how we would have Hernandez out the door unless we were 100% this or something else was happening
Can't afford to lose Rojo, that would leave us with Smalling, Blind, Jones & Paddy
Tor-Kristian Karlsen:
Some thoughts on Anthony Martial: in terms of characteristics/role he's something between a second striker & a centre forward.
Outstanding features: smart movement, excellent close control/touch (and overall technical ability), makes everything look simple.
Very strong in 1v1 situations, obviously very quick/change of pace, surprisingly composed in front of goal for such a young player.
As a vague reference he can in some way be reminiscent of a young Thierry Henry (not the spitting image, but there are similarities).
On the flip side there are issues about consistency, ability to impose himself physically and possibly a certain lack of determination.
As for the price, Monaco clearly believe Martial is to become a world beater in a 1-2 year perspective (many "insiders" seem to agree).
So it's all about future projections & pricing of potential. Could be worth 10 million in a year, could be worth 80 million...
But the point in doing so is that you usually pay a little bit less because it's not a sure-fire investment. There's no point paying the same amount of money for a gamble than you would for a sure-fire investment, a world-class player.I like this rumour. As I'd said before I'd always prefer us to sign young potential over ' big ' names.
No, just match unfit and LvG is rigorous on such things. Rojo probably will be a starting XI player for us at some stage this season. Doesn't make sense to ship him a season after LvG specifically asked to sign him.Oh i thought he was out of favour with Van Gaal. Haven´t seen him either at line up or being called up.
Sorry you must be getting bugged by numerous questions on him, but would you say he's primarily a dribbler? Like a Hazard/Messi, I think that's what we're missing more than anything in attack. That's the best summary you could find and the last sentence is true.
Well there is if you're looking to steal a march on the rival big clubs and not be left competing with them eg Sanchez, Hazard etc. Also our sure-fire investments haven't worked well in years from Berbatov to Di Maria. But the point in doing so is that you usually pay a little bit less because it's not a sure-fire investment. Cheers! No, he doesn't look like a player in particular, he has traits of players like Aguero but he is bigger and taller. He is not a dribbler but he is comfortable in tight spaces and can turn around and leave the defender for dead.
What's that got to do with transfers though? Monaco sold a lot of players before that and they don't let Martial leave because of that?
yeah perhaps. Makes sense considering we let go of Hernandez around the same time. That might have something to do with it. Martial himself may feel he wants out or Monaco feel they need to sell to balance the Books due to getting eliminated from the UCL.

The guy has been released from France national team to talk with us..... The nightmare continues
I think so too, but he will require patience...he's a young lad.I think we should take the gamble and sign this lad. Next year he could explode at the European Championships and his price tag will double with all the big clubs circling.
I hope we sign him and he becomes a legend just so that years down the line when people are doing their best ever United XI some will pick a strike force of:
Martial - Law
You are having a nightmare, mate. The guy has been released from France national team to talk with us..... The nightmare continues
